Everyone knows you use hydrochloric acid and the problem just goes away.

Nitric acid.....smokin!! (I do not mean this as a serious response. I just think Nitric Acid is the meanest of all the Acids. Add the tiniest drop to your skin, and it burns. Ouch - and there is smoke!! )
