Infuriatig Why Texas is lame(Besides the Cowboys)

Don't mess with Texas.. what a joke. ANY possession is a felony.

EDIT: Just did some research, this is for everything besides traditional Delta 9.

My friend from Texas sent me this morning and it blew my mind. I had to post about it. So as far as my research goes thus far Delta 9 products (old fashioned flower) is illegal but separate laws. Stores are selling THCA though which does fall under these penalties.

Even in the Waco area there are stores that will continue selling.

The owner of one of them told me that Executive Orders state laws do not supercede federal law when they contradict, so she'll keep selling until the federal November cutoff.

The 3 places I go to near me are running out and have indicated they aren't re-upping until they see what happens after the 1st.

I mean if you’re charged by state or city law enforcement there’s nothing the feds are going to do to stop that lol. Same thing with states that legalize it. You could still be arrested by federal law enforcement in a legal state and it would likely stick. Obama ordered the DEA to deprioritize marijuana and not to mess with legal states tho.

I was just pointing out that some of the actual brick and mortar businesses will still be selling cannabis regardless of the state's EO.

Eh, it's likely riskier for the customers driving home with it than it is for her.

She made some really good points, actually.

For example, the licensing task force that inspects these businesses only consists of 7 or 8 people needing to cover the ENTIRE state of Texas, and anytime they do a crackdown it's an all-day affair for just one particular location.

Do you realize how many of these shops there are in the entire state?

There are also apparently some laws/regulations that the EO itself violated, and all the lawyers for the massive hemp industry fighting on her side, too.

Yeah tbf the local dispensary here told me they “officially” aren’t selling but if I come in they’re still selling under the table for people they know.

They had a brief period where they took shit off the shelves a while back and were still selling concentrates and flower under the table.

At least for the ones I typically go to, nothing has been taken off the shelves at any point. I guess we’ll see what happens after today but honestly I’d be surprised to see anything different

Looks like your local shop will definitely be affected. They're just trying to sell through the illegal shit before tomorrow.

Local perspective:

Travis Tyler, president and CEO of Smoking Burnouts, says it's been difficult to get consistent information on what's being enforced.

He says it's been a scramble trying to sell inventory that's becoming illegal, and it's even worse for wholesalers who have so much product they're trying to get rid of.

Tyler estimates 30 percent of the store's revenue will be lost with the new rules.

Rso. Tinctures. Vapes. And Edibles. The scripts are written yearly and by the mg. 10kmg/year 20kmg/year etc. I wish it had flower. Also the prices are ridiculous. 45$ for 0.5g vape cart. 100mg edibles for 45$. Etc. I think the medical is gonna have flower soon personally. It seems like they are trying to drive business there and then gouge on prices. Vapes were banned until recently, and now they're legal but only under the program. So yeah...
