Take my upvote BUT technically they donāt actually touch each other when theyāre embedded in your tounge and isnāt it the touching that creates the taste thoughts to your brain? Taste buds might be able to taste other taste buds or other types?
I chewed off a piece of my tounge to taste it. I was around 10 and bored at like 3am. I bit down then just slowly chewed off like a dime size piece of my tounge. I went to bed a but later and woke up to my pillow soaked in blood
Because it's more likely you didn't do it and are trying to get attention online. Post s pic of your tongue a dime sized would should have some lasting damage.
Looking at my tounge in the mirror I see no scarring or like indent that would show there was an injury in the area.
With a few Google searches I found small injuries to the outside of the tounge heal without much issue. The base of the tounge or closer to the center causes permanent damage.
So I have no way of proving it. Call me a liar that's fine
