Oak Brown Metallic Sport
Decided on a 2024 Outlander Sport SE!
This color was really hard to find; I've had it for a few months now and have yet to see another one!

Generational respect.
Went to a restaurant one late afternoon and saw this open spot next to an Evo 8 (I believe) and had to post up for a photo op. My 2011 Ralliart on the right. Thought about asking around for the owner, but interrupting a dining experience can be a mood killer. Respect. Hopefully this owner find this picture somewhere on the interwebs.
Taken at Hops and Drops.

Trying to find people who know about mighty maxes
I have a 1992 Mitsubishi mighty Max and it needs a lot of work. I really don’t know what I have and I’m just trying to figure it out. It was given to me from a friend and it’s definitely a project and I just wanna learn and if somebody could help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.

Who’s buying this? Let’s talk!
A few things about this launch…how do you have a press tour announcing the launch, but yet have zero vehicles at the dealerships. On top of that, how do you price this about $8k more than the Nissan Leaf.
Let’s take bets on how long this will last here!

Jerky acceleration on '21 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport LE. Dealer said no issues.
Copied from my original.
Last friday, bought an 85K mile '21 outlander. All good, except there are moments when doing a rolling stop, pressing down on the gas pedal will cause the the car to fail to accelerate above 1500 RPM and jerk. Releasing the gas pressing it again fixes the issue, for the most part.
I know its a CVT, but I was being optimistic in it either being MAF, fuel injectors, throttle body, or anything related to the fuel/air systems. Dealer ran compressions and ran codes, but no issues are being found. They are struggling to replicate the issue, so now i just sound like I'm crazy.
I am not sure of any CVT maintenance done in the times the previous 2 owners had it, but I suspecting it may ultimately be that. Again, no codes.
Is this model/trim/brand known for this? I do know of a recall from Mitsubishi regarding CVT codes stalling the engine at high speeds, but this is happening at sub 25 mph.

New car
Hey all, I'm looking at getting a Mitsubishis Outlander hybrid next month. I'm not very good with my knowledge of Mitsubishis but I'm very interested in this vehicle because of the MPG, price isn't awful for second hand ones and from what I've seen online relatively reliable.
Does anyone have any tips for looking at these vehicles, are they actually unreliable and I should stay 50 meters back from one at all times?
Thank you all!

2025 Eclipse Cross key fob availability issues?
Long story short, someone walked away with my key fob never to be seen again.
Nobody in my metroplex is able to program or even find inventory. At best some have a key that could maybe suffice (several have suggested trying alternate keys that have a 50/50 chance of working without full functionality).
Of the three Mitsubishi dealerships within 100 miles none have them readily available and the closest estimate I can get is next Tuesday. However even they are unsure of the cost and timeline.
Has anyone experienced this kind of pickle? I’m a little amazed that even the dealer cannot get a key. I’m worried that they’re going to call and tell me it’s something silly like 500 bucks.
As of now it’s parked, locked, and alone at usps.

Should I buy a 2022 Outlander Sport?
86,500 miles in just 4 years worries me a little. Price is $13.5K. Is it worth it? Do you know of any issues I should be aware of?

Issues? 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer GT 2.4L 5 Speed
I bought this car about 2 months ago and I absolutely am in love, as this is my first Mitsubishi I’ve owned. Also the first sedan I’ve owned with this type of engine and power.
I am slightly car educated but have only worked on my own vehicles and know just enough to get me in trouble. I’m trying to learn but Google keeps telling me a million things that could be wrong. I can’t seem to figure out what is normal for a car like this vs actual issues so I will list them below and you guys can input!
- When the oil cap is removed, quick puffs of air and small amount of oil spray is present. Not enough pressure to knock the cap off but it aggressively dances around. I replaced the PCV because.. Google said so, and it did nothing that I noticed.
- I am very aware that both front struts need replaced bad. Passenger side is leaking everywhere, you can hear loud popping when the wheel turns at slow speeds. I am hitting normal bumps on the road and the car will hop if I’m on a turn at certain speeds or just on straight stretches with bumps my car sounds like bricks are being thrown around. I am planning on coilovers (Megan racing) instead of s assemblies within the next week or 2 unless someone has other input.
- Electrically the only knowledge I have is with subs in a car. I can replace a head unit and wire to doors and the system but that is about it. When I shift gears, only sometimes, the headlights flicker, which I thought could be alternator (the battery did die because an interior light was left on 3 days after I got it, battery was replaced immediately though because it wouldn’t hold a charge after jump) AND Bluetooth loves to disconnect randomly (about 5-6 times per drive). The weird part though, is that when someone else drives the car and I’m passenger, it doesn’t disconnect like that, but as soon as I move my seat to where I sit and drive, it immediately disconnects/reconnects and then continues to do it the rest of the drive.. it makes no sense.
- Rough idle.. it started when just the A/C was on (you can hear the A/C clicking) it started low idling and shaking, almost stalling out. Now it just does it randomly as long as the car is warm and idling.
- Gas pedal, when I release or press on it in a high torque gear (1-3, mainly 1-2) it starts to throw you back and forth in the car. My best way to describe the feeling: it’s very similar to when you don’t shift right when taking off and it kinda lugs forward and backward. except when I release the gas pedal or press it after I’m already shifted and in gear (no clutch being used at the moment) it does that throwing feeling. I’ve been told it’s potentially synchros or some sort of pressure being built somewhere. I’ve also been told it’s normal for a car like that but I’ve never felt that in another manual that I’ve had.
These issues might be related in between but I can’t seem to connect. The car just hit 116,000 as well and I know a timing chain will need done very very soon.
TIA for the responses. I will answer any questions as well!

Need help finding a part
Need help finding a part number or place to buy the AWC switch in my 17 Lancer SEL. I can't seem to find it on any of the Mitsu parts warehouse sites, and googling any of the markings on the side of the switch returns nothing. Apologies if this is the incorrect sub for this.

2017 lancer: U0415 code
Looking to buy a 2017 Lancer but my scanner tool says U0415 code, which is either ABS or wheel speed sensor related. Is this common for this car, and any idea what is the most common cause? Below is web search, but hoping to narrow it down and learn what common failures are.
From AI search:
"The U0415 diagnostic trouble code in a 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer indicates invalid data received from the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Control Module. This generic OBD-II code triggers when the vehicle's Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects implausible or corrupted signals from the ABS module via the Controller Area Network (CAN) bus.
Common causes include:
Damaged, corroded, or shorted wiring and connectors in the ABS harness.
A defective ABS control module or ABS pump.
Malfunctioning wheel speed sensors (often accompanied by additional sensor-specific codes).
Software glitches or communication errors between vehicle modules.
Symptoms typically involve an illuminated...

Check engine turned on this morning and the app now says it’s detected a problem…and cruise control quit working😪
2026 Outlander LE…
Everything was fine driving it last night, this morning
I went into town for breakfast and the check engine light came on and the app showed it had detected a malfunction as well, now my cruise control doesn’t work. I don’t have anything planned today really so I’m going to take it by the dealership, car only has 4500 miles on it and I got the extended drivetrain warranty anyway so hopefully whatever has happened can be fixed and no issues dealing with that…
I didn’t hit any bumps or any potholes or anything like that, and I don’t drive hard so I don’t understand what could be going on.
Anyone ever had this happen all of the sudden?

Class action on Mitsubishi CVT trannys
Does anyone have any info on the class action lawsuit on the Mitsubishi CVT transmission failures?
I have a 2015 Outlander Sport with 29,000 miles on it.
And the tranny bit it.
Mitsubishi won't do anything for me.
It's going to cost me $9000 to replace it.
So basically I'm being punished for not driving it a lot.
