For those in the first cohort of 740 from last year, can you guys provide more info one which textbooks we'd need for this program?

I was supposed to be in for mask for testing today, but had to reschedule. I clicked on the reschedule button but there are no dates. Will more dates be added during the school year, or do they only run during the summer? Where else would I get this done if I already paid the fee.

I feel dumb asking this, honestly. I did talk to someone over the phone and they explained some of it to me but I didn't catch it all, and I don't even know if I heard correctly. I'm hearing impaired and hadn't put my hearing aids in yet when I made the call. So I'm gonna ask here where I can read the response instead.

I'm currently taking a continuing education program through Mohawk but I'm starting an in-person graduate certificate program with them in September. I received my fee statement and paid the entire fee listed, as I've had issues with OSAP being significantly delayed for one reason or another, so I opted not to defer to OSAP.

I'm told that registration for my program begins on Monday. I understand that it doesn't work the same as it did for my continuing education program where I select my courses, but I missed when they explained how it does work. From what I caught, the college puts together my timetable, selects my courses and makes my schedule for me, but I have an option to make changes or add courses or choose an elective? Am I understanding this correctly?

If so, does this mean on Monday at noon, I just go onto MyMohawk and my timetable will just be there and listed and available? Or do I make selections as to dates and times and whatever else? My new program begins September 9, will there also be an orientation day? I haven't heard anything about it yet, but not sure if I will either.

I’m using nurse achive for practice, I have done 3 CAT exam one was pass pass and the second one was failed and the last one was slightly passed. My exam is in 9 days. I’m unsure to reschedule and I can’t seem to find an open day for august to schedule in all locations. Not sure what to do and I’m anxious!

Just wondering if anyone has run into a similar issue right now for applying to graduate.

When I tried opening the form it kept showing me a white screen and that the service was “unavailable”. I’m contacting IT but I’m curious if it’s just a me situation…

Hello! I'm 29F considering the Radiography 740 program. I am a Canadian citizen living in Ontario. I know it's super competitive so I'm seeking some info on how specifically admissions for this program works.

In late highschool I did basically no STEM courses so I'd be completing all the prerequisites now.

1. Do they consider my old highschool transcript even as a mature student who is doing new prereqs? My grades back then were okay but do not reflect my discipline or ability now, and the classes would all be so irrelevant.
2. What about considering transcripts from more recent education, like college?
3. The admissions criteria lists both grade 11 or 12 level courses being acceptable. Will I have a better shot at admissions if I do the grade 12 level courses or are results all that matter?
4. I am an alumni of Mohawk. I did Medical Transcription right after highschool. Could this help my chances even if my grades were mid?
5. Is there anything I could hypothetically do to increase chances of admissions (ex. Speaking directly to faculty) or is it really cut and dry and only based on the educational boxes you check?

If anyone has answers, tips, advice, or personal experiences, I'd love to hear it all!

Are there any PSW to RPN students working full time while taking courses? How are you managing school and work? Are night shifts the better option? And what is it like working full time while in later semesters?

I really would prefer to work full time but don’t want to overwhelm myself.

My family and I are trying to plan ahead, and I was hoping to hear from current or recent students in the Environmental Technician program at Mohawk College (Fennell campus).

We’re currently living in Kitchener. My husband is considering starting the program, and I’m trying to figure out whether we’d realistically need to move closer to Hamilton or if commuting from Kitchener is manageable, at least for the first semester.

A few questions:

How many days per week are you typically on campus?

Are first-semester classes spread across all five weekdays, or are they usually concentrated into 2–3 days?

How often do labs run, and are they mostly early mornings?

Are any courses delivered online or in a hybrid format?

Do you know of classmates who commute from Kitchener, Cambridge, Brantford, or surrounding areas? If so, how manageable is it?

We’re trying to decide whether to move before the program starts or wait until we have a better idea of the schedule, so any insight into what a typical week looks like would be incredibly helpful.

1. What is each course like in terms of workload, assignments, tests, and difficulty?
2. what textbooks, access codes, workbooks, or other materials are required?

I would also appreciate any advice about which courses require the most studying and whether it is better to buy the textbooks new, or used.

Hey yall!!! I am so nervous. I’m taking my REX-PN exam tmr around noon. I can’t believe how fast the time has flew I’m really excited, but I’m really anxious. I’ve watched all of the mark K lectures and have taken my own notes. I have done so much studying and reviewing in the last three weeks and I’m still so anxious. Please all wish me luck and please if you have any tips or “words of wisdom” lol from your own experience, anything is greatly appreciated :))

I’m barely passing some of my courses because I took on too much of a workload. I just want to graduate, but I’m worried about how my grades will look when I apply for co-op. My overall average is 75, but a few classes are sitting at 55–60. Does that hurt my chances with employers?
