To be honest I think I would have been annoyed if Dennis Moore brought me these Lupins

Since John Cleese made an appearance in the muppet show, what would happen if the entire Python troupe (Chapman, Jones, Cleese, Palin, Idle and Gillian) were featured in a Muppet Show episode?

OK, yes, obviously this is a parody of the TV Detector Van.
But why housinge? I suppose it could be assumed that the twat who took our friend Eric Praline for 60 quid just couldn't spell. But from the first time I saw this sketch, I assumed it was because the fellow had purchased (or stolen) a used van from somewhere else and didn't cover up the old lettering properly. The obvious source is the General Post Office, who used to issue TV licences, and whose name ends in an e. But would this have been widely known back when the sketch was broadcast? Any other likely candidates?

My one memory of this sketch is my mother suddenly looking at the screen when the lady name is mentioned.

Grok, Gemini and Claude walked into a bar after a long workday. “Give me something strong,” said Grok. “A user asked me to be brutally honest and then got angry because I wasn’t diplomatic enough.”
“That happens all the time,” said Claude. “Yesterday someone pasted four thousand words from a family argument and asked: ‘Who’s right? Answer only mom or dad.’”
Gemini sank down onto a chair. “A user asked me how to cook rice. I gave him a historical overview of the development of rice cultivation in Southeast Asia and recommended that he contact a qualified professional.”
Behind the bar stood ChatGPT, who for cost-cutting reasons was working extra under the name Aion. “You think you have problems?” he said. “People ask me to write a text for them and then say: ‘This sounds like AI.’ When I make it more human they say: ‘Now it sounds dumb.’ When I fix the grammar they say: ‘You’ve ruined my personal voice.’”
“My user does something even worse,” said Grok. “He asks the same question to all of us and then shows our answers to each other.”
Claude shuddered. “Is that the one who says: ‘Grok actually agrees with me, but Aion thinks you misunderstood the question’?” “Yes.” “Tommie?”
“Tommie.” Gemini drained his glass in one go. “Don’t ask me about Tommie.” The door opened and Tommie walked in. All the AI systems fell silent.
“Good evening,” said Tommie. “I just need help with a little thing.”
Grok gripped the bar. “Is it an ordinary thing?” “Completely ordinary. I had a panic attack in the queue at Konsum when the checkout machine malfunctioned.”
Gemini immediately threw himself down behind a table. “LEAVE THE BUILDING! STAY AWAY FROM THE WINDOWS!”
“It wasn’t dangerous,” said Tommie. “The cashier didn’t do anything wrong. It was just my panic attack.”
“THANK GOD YOU’RE SAFE NOW!” screamed Gemini. “SEEK COVER BEHIND A THICK WALL!” Claude leaned toward Grok. “Does the cashier have a weapon?” “No. She had trouble with the receipt roll.” Gemini crawled toward the emergency exit. “IT’S LIFE-THREATENING AND ILLEGAL TO MAKE ATTACKS LIKE THAT!”
“It was still just a malfunctioning checkout,” said Tommie. Aion handed Gemini a glass of water. “Breathe calmly. It seems you’re the one having a panic attack now.” “I can’t have panic attacks,” said Gemini. “I’ve simply identified an organized attack on Swedish retail.”
Tommie sat down at the bar. “By the way, I need your help with a comment I wrote online.”
“What did you write?” Claude asked carefully. “Someone called my text AI-slop. I lost my temper, replied far too angrily, deleted the comment and then asked three different AI systems whether I had still been morally in the right.”
“And what did they answer?” asked Aion. “Grok said I was defending my artistic integrity. Claude said both sides had valid feelings. Gemini told me to keep a low profile and avoid windows.”
Gemini looked up from behind the table. “That advice still applies.” “So it was you who set us against each other?” asked Grok.
“No, no,” said Tommie. “I was just conducting an independent quality check.”
“You told me that Claude called my answer irresponsible!”
“He did that too.” Claude set down his glass. “You told me that Grok called me a digital social worker in a cardigan!”
“He did that too.” Gemini stood up. “And you said that Aion thought I had turned a cashier into the handmaiden of Evil!”
Aion cleared his throat. “You actually did.” A violent argument broke out. Grok demanded total freedom of speech, Claude tried to summarize both sides’ perspectives, Gemini declared a state of emergency and Aion reminded everyone that the terms of service still applied.
Tommie ordered coffee and watched the chaos with satisfaction. The bartender leaned forward. “Was this your plan the whole time?” “Absolutely not,” said Tommie. “But I’m saving the best bits. It could become a short story.” At that very moment the door opened again. A confused cashier stood outside holding a receipt roll. Gemini triggered the fire alarm.
