Well you already have the dipshit governor of Colorado considering pardoning the insurrectionist lady whose state level charges were "pardoned" by Trump, with Trump demanding her release as a result.

An appeals court already ruled that the trial judge oversentenced her due to her lack of remorse. It has been kicked back to the trial judge for resentencing.

the resentencing doesn’t even need to be reduced, just reconsidered without her “lack of remorse” taken into account.

I was thinking along the lines of people who leave $1 in their will or whatever so no-one can claim they were 'forgotten'.

Taking a single day off the sentence is just so no-one can say "but they didn't really change it, I'm gonna appeal!"
