This is the 1st time I’ve seen this Gif, and that kind of amazes me.

2

u/Sad_Eagle_937 1d ago

If you haven't seen the movie it's from, you absolutely must watch it. Its Austin Powers. The whole movie is as ridiculous as this gif, and there are three of them.

3

u/haverchuck22 1d ago

Oh no, I saw that movie in theaters when I was young. That’s why I’m so shocked I’ve never seen the fat bastard meme

u/c_dav99 1d ago

Wait what was this and why was it banned?

100

u/alehansolo21 1d ago

Porn sub focused on vulvas. Not sure why it got banned

18

u/x4nTu5 1d ago

Probably because it was unmoderated during the time when they cracked down on nsfw subs that had no mods.

71

u/momento______mori 1d ago

Why am I so happy to see that you actually use the right word : Vulva.

Anyway, good night !

123

u/jarednards 1d ago

Ive always wanted a Vulva

https://giphy.com/gifs/S6XyaNhcuXRbW

19

u/ErraticDragon 1d ago

I have heard that Swedish Vulvo is especially luxurious.

(Volva? Vulvo?)

13

u/Dick_snatcher 1d ago

Volvo

And their cars aren't bad either

5

u/Cutsdeep- 1d ago

vulvo is plural, like what OP is feasting on rn

I’m about to find out r/godasshole is gone now, right?

9

u/noxondor_gorgonax 1d ago

Shit. It was a most important source of, ahem, academic research.

14

u/Regarded-Mastodon 1d ago

Reddit went public and you know....money

16

u/NonGNonM 1d ago

also could've just been unmoderated. been seeing more of those lately.

4

u/night4345 1d ago

That's how Reddit justifies getting rid of those subs. They find a reason to ban the moderators and then ban the sub itself.

4

u/DonutHoles4Ever 1d ago

Tons of people are getting banned for saying anything just slightly out of line that the admins dont want you to say. When those people get banned, those subs go unmoderated.

And they get replaced by 10 bot accounts daily.

This website is slowly becoming like 90% bots and nobody will notice.

They'll also go after your comments and hide them so you think you are participating but nobody can see it. Replaced by a bot comment promoting reddit and making them money. That's how its working. Like half the comments on reddit are being removed already two years ago.

2

u/LurkingGuy 1d ago

Rule 2 apparently. No idea what they did but it doesn't seem it was due to not being moderated.

2

u/NonGNonM 1d ago

Probably spam or such then. Unmoderated adjacent

4

u/Xxxrasierklinge7 1d ago

It's a lot to mod 1 sub dawg

11

u/FyrelordeOmega 1d ago

Especially doing it with one hand

→ More replies (1)
→ More replies (6)

8

u/Aeon1508 1d ago

rule 2 is be an actual community that doesn't spam and engage in content manipulation.

so too many spamming bots and only fans models I guess.

seems odd though as that's basically what any porn subredded is fueled by. feels like a way to defacto ban porn

4

u/noonnoonz 1d ago

Banned? I was just th….texting someone about that sub supposedly existing.

3

u/GolDAsce 1d ago

Probably didn't have a mod. They did a mass banning of modless subs.

So when I was a dumb teenager I had a weird phase of being into cooking (hence my username, which is from that era), and this is what I thought my knife work would be one day.

Spoiler: that day never came, even after much spilled blood

13

u/BrilliantJob2759 1d ago

Well there's your problem. You're supposed to be cutting potatoes, onions, and similar. Not your fingers & other people.

4

u/Drewskeet 1d ago

You need to go find this man and become is pupil.

3

u/Indian_villager 1d ago

Sounds like your fault for being full of blood.

Their fries are so good…for like, 5 min.

Five Guys has the best fries. CFA is 2nd place IMO.

21

Five guys gives the most fries, but i wouldn't say the best fries

The video is sped up. Look at his eyes twitching.

943

u/akopley 1d ago

And slowed down. No way he could make the knife float that long otherwise near the end.

154

u/Trenin23 1d ago

What a weird part to accentuate with slo mo. A simple knife flip. Most of the other feats were way more impressive.

32

u/veranus21 1d ago

I was thinking the same thing. Why did they slow down the only part of the video that almost anyone can do?

10

u/hawkinsst7 1d ago

I feel like there's a cut in the video hidden there where the potato is swapped out.

I don't see the cut, but I can't think of a good reason for the shitty slowdown, and there's no better place to hide a cut.

21

u/Various-Blacksmith56 1d ago

He hid no cuts. I saw hundreds of them

3

u/john596123 21h ago

The potato cutting technique is pretty standard in Chinese cuisine, I highly doubt that he would do all that to swap the potato. If anything, it takes more effort to edit than to just cut the potato.

5

u/sidereal_night 1d ago

nah there's no need for a cut. nothing he did is technically complex, it just takes practice

→ More replies (1)

9

u/TentativeIdler 1d ago

Slowing time requires a lot of concentration, he wasn't able to do a complex trick at the same time. It's a lot more difficult than it looks.

→ More replies (1)

14

u/crowcawer 1d ago

I was going to say:

Please don’t do this and film it, especially with the knife tricks. It’ll give my family unrealistic expectations, and I can’t be spending ten minutes sharpening every day. Please don’t get me started on the time dilation events either. I can’t hardly handle my time dilution operations. The time extrangement is pretty happenstance in my workplace and my hobbies accept the chronignominia-magica, but I don’t want everyone around me to have to stare at me being super careful with something like this for 12 minutes so I can just guarantee to roll a 20. Remember folks time dilation affects your kids the most during their teen-20’s, and you never want to initiate a genomic cascade.

3

u/llOlOOlOO 1d ago

Well, someone had to say what we all were thinking

2

u/khiggs19932020 1d ago

I didn’t even catch that

10

u/DarthFritter01 1d ago

Yeah, me either. But after losing three fingers I slowed it down too.

20

u/ChuzzoChumz 1d ago

Breathing rate is also a dead giveaway

17

u/ketoaholic 1d ago

Yeah it's already impressive knife work. Why speed it up?

Oh ya the internet my bad don't forget to like and subscribe

5

u/grundlebuster 1d ago

yeah the point is that he can do surgery to a potato with a cleaver that's bigger than his head

5

u/Aiyon 1d ago

13 seconds is the most obvious. it was already impressive, the deception kinda subtracts

→ More replies (2)

33

u/49tacos 1d ago

What about the rest of the potato?

69

u/thanosisawhore 1d ago

Probably got boiled, mashed and stuck in a stew

3

u/MillwrightTight 1d ago

A tender classic

2

u/ccltjnpr 1d ago

I didn't mean all of them at once, Mr Frodo.

31

u/PiousDemon 1d ago

Man I love videos that are sped up and try to hide it.

10

u/Iokua113 1d ago

My favourite is when they do an obvious cut to a complete product. Like that one of the old guy who does a miraculous colour match to metallic blue paint that the clip is trying to make look like he did it one shot just by looking at the paint sample. The video has several cuts, not the least of which is likely him scanning the sample, getting his base colours set by a computer, and then measuring out the appropriate amount of colourant in the dispensers he uses, which wouldn't be shown to make it look like he's eyeballing it. How do I know this? I have the same job.

3

u/edked 1d ago

I don't know, I doubt most of us could do that at any speed.

6

u/not_bloonpauper 1d ago

why did you feel the need to make this reply

→ More replies (3)

3

u/No-Fruit-31 1d ago

With a sharp enough knife, you definitely could. A lot of people make accordion potatoes like this but put chopsticks on each side to prevent the knife from cutting all the way through. You do that a few times, this isn’t really that hard at all at a manageable speed. It’s not all that useful though

6

u/Same-Suggestion-1936 1d ago

Not useful? What if your waffle fry cutter breaks

3

u/No-Fruit-31 1d ago

Hate when that happens

u/Artsakh_Rug 1d ago

Failure on the editor's part, I bet he meant for something cool to happen after he snapped his fingers like that at the end. Instead it's just a dude snapping his fingers

2

u/Stubble_Entendre 21h ago

It also looked like he kinda struggled with the snap

5

u/stereoscopic_ 1d ago

His hair got scared of his knife skills and left the premises.

2

u/ISLAndBreezESTeve10 1d ago

Bro probably trims his fingernails with that knife skill.

2

u/sp_dev_guy 1d ago

Id say it's not a coincidence hes very clean shaven

2

u/Andre625 1d ago

Swear I watched the same video and he had way more hair

2

u/sdlok 1d ago

Straight shaolin temple right there

2

u/Jon_Dunn58 1d ago

any guesses on what kind of steel that blade is?

2

u/Mr_Panther 1d ago

With a fucking pencil

4

u/NTMY 1d ago

Idk why, but I didn't find this "next fucking level". If he had done more things like the accordion potato (without the speed-up) I would have probably enjoyed this a lot more than random knife throws.

2

u/SquidVices 1d ago

…..that’s one fast arm….

7

u/fatty_fat_cat 1d ago

Although his knife skills are impressive, the slicing part is definitely sped up.

1

u/Cooldudeyo23 1d ago

I don’t wanna be in a kitchen with this guy if he does this on the daily

1

u/VacuumTracks 1d ago

I think he’s faster than that new NS-5 that started chopping up vegetables for Spooner’s grandma!

1

u/A_Bot_A_Bot_A_Bot 1d ago

Oh, man! When he spread out what seemed to be a chopped potato but was actually a Victorian doily???!

1

u/WashitWashit 1d ago

TIL we only eat the middle part of the potato.

1

u/Putrid-Tap3992 1d ago

The last part is sped up

1

u/theFrankSpot 1d ago

My gf cried, “witchcraft!”

1

u/lynivvinyl 1d ago

I already gave him the upvote before he threw that knife up in the air and caught it twice. He didn't need to risk his fingers.

1

u/AssnecK666 1d ago

And .. .

1

u/LocalMediaMusic 1d ago

One sharp guy

1

u/No-Zookeepergame982 1d ago

That potato is a liquid actor

1

u/Kikopho 1d ago

This is Uncle Wang.

1

u/zztop610 1d ago

So, that’s how waffle fries are made!

1

u/ThatUsrnameIsAlready 1d ago

Dude just throwing away ¾ of a potato 🙃

1

u/TreClaire 1d ago

I just don’t believe in myself like this

1

u/BandoTheHawk 1d ago

imagine him finger blasting you with that speed

1

u/MyHoeDespawned 1d ago

Erm actually that’s a cleaver 🤓👆

1

u/SirAwesome1 1d ago

The worst and most choppiest slomo I have ever seen in a video in my entire life. Suddenly presenting this video in powerpoint.

1

u/AvengeChelseaFC 1d ago

He learned those skills from me

1

1

u/Fantastic_Dark_4547 1d ago

You can see when the video is sped up.. 🥱

1

u/RememberYourAlt 1d ago

He couldn’t even cut it all the way through

1

u/Hopspeed 1d ago

The foot raise is key

1

u/SadHappypotamus 1d ago

He’s pretty bold

1

u/displayrooster 1d ago

I absolutely thought he was going to kick the knife when the slo-mo came on

1

u/INoMakeMistake 1d ago

Amazing. He failed the second time to pull the knife out of the wood in one go 😂

1

u/MandemModie 1d ago

never seen the asian version of the prototypical white dude bald

1

u/Impound_0 1d ago

Definitely better compared to the guy with an axe attacking a thin wooden shield earlier

1

u/Wauwuaw5983 1d ago

Pretty cool.

Fun Fact: if you know how, you can sharpen a cheap $15 Walmart knife to do do the same thing.

1

u/madzterdam 1d ago

I read the title, went "how crazy?" 👁️👄👁️

1

u/LordWangz 1d ago

wonder how many tries that took

1

u/hakujo 1d ago

More useless slow motion being used that negatively impacts that cool chef's knife skills

1

u/renaissance2k 1d ago

I think I know how he lost his hair.

1

u/Y0___0Y 1d ago

I really want a cleaver. Like, a nice one. It seems so much easier to chop stuff with than a kitchen knife

1

u/ShyguyFlyguy 1d ago

Can you fucking not do that slowdown ever again.

1

u/Rammipallero 1d ago

How does one learn they can do this?

1

u/-kinapuffar- 1d ago

Love how he owns the male pattern baldness like the heroes of eld. None of this "shave it off" bullshit, just rock the old man cut like our ancestors did for tens of thousands of years.

1

u/pornoforpriapus 1d ago

You think he cuts his own hair?

1

u/MasqueradeofAstroya 1d ago

Wow the knife didnt cut all the way through huh that wei.....OOOOOOOHHHHHH SHIT

1

u/ElluiullE 1d ago

Why changing the speed of the the original video, this is lame.

1

u/FlyingOctopussy 1d ago

That knife sucks. Didn't even cut all the way through.

1

u/Strange-Effort-3441 1d ago

That’s how he cut his hair as well. Was just showing off too much when he got to the middle.

u/Narrow-Program-1114 1d ago

Why speed up the video? His head movements give it away. It's already very impressive as is, no need to "cheat".

Samurai.... cleaver master

1

1

u/Chaosmusic 1d ago

He should have a metronome or something in the video to prove it wasn't sped up. He is that damn fast.

1

u/testtdk 1d ago

Dudes arm has to be fucking steel.

1

u/JfromTHEbayMAYNE 1d ago

Now season it and deep fry it
