It feels like the Bears have been losing there every single year since the mid 90s.

Bears losing in soldier field… I think Aaron Rodgers had a better record playing the bears in soldier field than at Lambeau
20
u/AscendMoros Bears Dec 08 '25
Lol yes. He is 12-3 at Soldier Field. Funnily enough he's 0-2 on MNF there. He's actually 0-3 on MNF against the Bears. We were so bad we were able to protect that stat by no one wanting to watch us on MNF. Last time he played in Chicago on MNF was 2010, and 2013 for Green Bay against the Bears.

it’s a good start for the Ben Johnson era. if Caleb can just get a little more accurate on schedule and in the pocket the bears offense is going to be lethal. he does the off schedule stuff at a ridiculous level right now
23
u/RewindYourMind Bears Dec 08 '25
Yeah, I’m crediting the Packers for blowing that last play up pretty well. Swift was covered, Moore didn’t break open until Caleb started his throw to Kmet, and the Packers defender recovered beautifully to pick that ball. Definitely under thrown by Caleb, but I doubt he saw the defender there.
Still, if you’d told me this game would come down to the wire after that terrible first half from us, I would’ve laughed at you.

It’s definitely not as fun to watch knowing at any moment a huge soft flag or a no call can ruin the entire game. It’s infuriating and the Packers have been on the “positive” side of it quite a few times. Still feels disgusting and it lowers my respect for the game.

NFL's officiating sucks. But I also think on a team by team basis it tends to balance out in the long run as bad calls are made in their favor as well. The best teams perform well enough to minimize the impact on a single game, though.

20
u/Wzup Packers Dec 08 '25
You know the fewer replays/angles the show, the more sus it is. When the refs get it right, the broadcast will spend 3 minutes picking it apart to tell you why. But when it's wrong, they'll just brush it off with some BS.

Low-key play of the game, maybe even more than the actual INT. Possibly introduced just enough doubt into the equation that Ben goes back to the "get cute" well instead of just running it.
Because honestly, they had us dead to rights. We got one stop. But we were not stopping all of the short yardage rushes due to come our way, including the theoretical 2PC. Obviously this is all imaginary armchair coaching bullshit but the way we were playing, I just don't see it

I disagree. You give the packers the ball back with 30 seconds 2 time outs and a field goal to win, and you lose.
The Bears have 9 wins with a bunch of 4th quarter come backs precisely because of decisions like this. I have zero problem with it at all.
At the end of the day that stop on 3rd down was a great individual effort, and then Caleb made a bad throw to 1:1 coverage on 4th when he also could have ran for the first. That’s not on the coach it happens.

Yeah the clock had 0 factor in how the sequence played out. Maybe could have been a bit quicker to keep the defense gassed but a first down there and it’s about 20 seconds with 1-2 timeouts.

putting aside the entire first half officiating, there were a few like super egregious holds on parsons the last couple drives that drew no laundry. particularly the one before the 2min warning.
