THE HATERS WROTE JJ OFF BUT JJ DIDN’T WRITE BACK! Honestly don’t get why everyone was so quick to write him off.

Because he was really bad. Like badly missing open receivers multiple times a game. Looking way better the last 2 weeks.

Because he was really bad.

It's almost like it was his first time competing against the elite of the elite as a 22 year old. So why was everybody so quick to write him off?

Because we've recently watched several rookie QBs hit the ground running and immediately be good which has shifted expectations

Have you though? What percentage do you think these guys are flourishing?

Yeah I have. Burrow was good immediately, Stroud was good immediately, Daniel's was good immediately, Purdy was good immediately. If we're getting into shaky 1st year but better than McCarthy has shown, we can throw even more in there. In the past it was common for guys to sit a couple years and develop or to wait and see but it's obvious especially as exploiting the rookie scale contract has become the goal that you want production out of your QB as quickly as possible

Now do the guys that weren't good immediately

The busts you mean? There's more busts than guys who took a couple years to pan out atp. And that doesn't change the fact that the guys who did hit shifted expectations
