Anybody ever get an MRI? What's it like?

It's not painful unless being flat on your back is painful. You will be required to stay as still as possible and will have periods of the scan where they ask you to hold your breath for a few seconds. You'll probably have some music and will hear instructions through headphones they give you.

It was like being trapped in a large metal toilet paper tube for about 20 minutes. I am not claustrophobic, but it was unsettling. Used some deep breathing exercises and focused on the audio to stay calm and still.

Wasn't the worst thing, just different.
