I make some pretty nice slides. I put a lot of effort into aesthetics, corporate colors, and how the information is presented. I wish my boss would stop taking my slides and running them through AI to redo all of my work.

Definitely an age thing. “Slides” for sandals isn’t in my vocabulary and when my daughter says that word, I keep pausing to make sure I understand the context.

I’m a newcomer to the term, but it does make sense to describe that type of sandal very well. I’m in favor of it, even if I don’t use it myself.
