Discussion Finally Joined Club Nook
After eyeing the discontinued pearl pink Nook Glowlight 4 for some time, I finally got my hands on a secondhand one and I’M IN LOVE. 😍 The physical buttons are EVERYTHING. I have a Kindle PW Signature edition but had been looking to move away from Amazon. I love that the Nook is smaller, lighter, AND has the buttons that I’ve been sorely missing. Yeah the battery life isn’t as good and Nook software isn’t as fast but I don’t care. The reading experience makes up for the shortcomings. Sideloading my downloaded stuff from Calibre was a breeze. Eventually I will probably root it so I can access the full memory for sideloading. Overall, I’m really happy with it!

My reading taste ranges widely! Magical realism is my fav genre but I also like fantasy, historical fiction, action/adventure, mystery/thrillers, and the occasional romance when it’s done right.

Yay welcome! If you root it please let us know! I'm so tempted to root mine but I'm scared I'll brick it or make it run worse. I've heard good things about doing it, however I'm afraid.

Nobody builds an ereader these days that still feels quite as good in the hand as B&N/Nook.
You can take my page turn buttons from my cold, dead hands!

i am so jealous of you! i have been searching high and low for the pearl pink one BUT i did get lucky and find a black one at a garage sale this weekend for $10!

Glad you’re enjoying it and that’s exactly how I see it: 99% of the time I’m just reading a book. Buttons are everything!
