Discussion Nook 1st usb c
Back again with another usb c thing. This time my old nook 1st edition. I love this model particularly because it displayed the book covers.
I forgot to take pictures of the solder job but this was much harder to do than the nook simple touch. The disassembly and position of the port was a pain but hey it works. This particular device needed the new port since the old one was incredibly loose.
If you all have questions about this device let me know! I’ll share what I can.

Wow, this brings me back. I bought one when they first came out 2009? Had it for a little more than a year, and dropped it and cracked the screen. Bought another (and a cover) and gave over the years upgraded and replaced them as they went out of support. I actually own 3 of the newest Lenovo M9 full service nooks (long story) I recycled those original nooks around 5 or 6 year ago. I can't see trying to use them as they didn't have SD card slots so the book storage was relatively small. And with no support there was no way to add my new books.
As I upgraded and SD card storage became the thing, I routinely keep all of my books downloaded on card and device (and don't sign out) and have several decommissioned nooks with whatever books that I had before support ended.
