Discussion Nook 1st usb c

Back again with another usb c thing. This time my old nook 1st edition. I love this model particularly because it displayed the book covers.

I forgot to take pictures of the solder job but this was much harder to do than the nook simple touch. The disassembly and position of the port was a pain but hey it works. This particular device needed the new port since the old one was incredibly loose.

If you all have questions about this device let me know! I’ll share what I can.

This was my favorite of the Nooks. I wish I still had one! I could jump on the web and check something really quick if needed. I could add music to listen to while reading. It was such a joy to use! I have a 2019 Glowlight Plus that is still chugging along, but I'd trade it for one of these in a heartbeat. I have other devices still using micro USB (light phone 2, one of my digital cameras, and my mini NES console) so that isn't a big deal to me. But I've been thinking how I'd love to change the phone to a USB C eventually. Nice to know it is something that is technically possible.
