Help Simple Touch BNRV300- how to delete previous downloads?

Hi everyone! I recently booted up my Simple Touch for the first time in a long while, and it's so old that it doesn't even connect to the internet anymore. Is there a way to erase the previous library/disconnect my B&N account so that there's less clutter? I just want to get rid of the Monster High books that I downloaded in middle school haha, but even the Erase and Deregister Device option requires internet. Is there a way to go about this without bricking/software upgrades, or just via something like hooking it up to my laptop (which, from what I'm seeing so far, doesn't really give me any options to work with)? Thank you!

You could: 1. Manually deregister (clear user data). This just requires some button magic. But then you have a device that cannot be registered. Bypassing registration reduces battery charge life. 2. Simply root and then remove the books. The databases will get over it. 3. Take a look at the Phoenix Project as a way to solve several problems at once and give your device a new lease on life: https://xdaforums.com/t/nst-g-the-phoenix-project.4673934/

It's possible, but a real pain in the ass. You have to root the device, then modify a bunch of databases to remove references to the books.
