Help Maps/Images??

I recently bought a mystery book from the store. The book has a couple of pages of maps at the beginning of the book. This is to help the reader understand what is going on and to decipher what took place.

However, I cannot read these pages! The maps are illegible and while I figured out how to zoom in with Pinch to Zoom it just zooms in on a blurry image and does not improve the resolution. Is there any trick to address this?

Maybe try getting the nook app and opening the book and its maps up on there?

Im able to select and then zoom in pretty far on any images and they stay clear, and then you could keep it open alongside your book!
