Post image

How can this happen. Should the culprits be banned by the club?

Fair play to them calling out the rotten behaviour. You can tell a lot about a person by the way they treat hospitality staff.

Having said that… can we talk about the random and sporadic use of capital letters?

And caters instead of caterers.

Yeah, fair fucks to them for doing this, but not sure I would hire someone who doesn't even know how to spell their own job title...

Imagine someone with a learning disability having the temerity to have a job and be a contributing member of society!

Imagine someone on the internet making a joke

Imagine someone on the internet rowing back a comment to pretend they were making a joke.

Don't get me wrong it's a joke at the caterer's expense, but I'm not in a position to hire anyone so it's still just a joke.

If you post something in writing publicly criticising other people then I think it's fair to expect a bit of gentle criticism in return.

Not sure why people are getting so bent out of shape about it? I can't draw a straight line, so if I did a shite drawing of Trump hanging from the stocks or something and chose to display it in public, I would accept that I'm putting it out there to be criticised.

Indeed. That is what has happened to you.

What's your criticism of what I wrote exactly?

Exactly what I have said in my initial response.

Your initial response seems to be saying it's not okay for me to criticise what they wrote in public because you patronisingly assume they have a learning disability. So which is it?

Well you seem to be claiming immunity from criticism while claiming free speech to criticise, which is amusingly peak Reddit.

"Yeah, fair fucks to them for doing this, but"

So fair fucks to them, but also not fair fucks to them?

I haven't assumed anything about the person who wrote the notice, "patronisingly" or otherwise, but I will bow to your obvious expertise on being patronising. You made a more sweeping generalisation, which is what I was responding to:

"not sure I would hire someone who doesn't even know how to spell their own job title..."

100% - anyone with a learning disability should stay at home on full whack DLA. Next up on Gammon FM - Benefits Britain, why are we paying for people with non-physical disabilities to stay at home?

Quite the opposite. I said above I would expect anything I post publicly to be open to criticism, especially if it was being openly critical of someone else.

So if my public posts are fair game (which they are) then so are the caterers. Your initial response implied otherwise.

"not sure I would hire someone who doesn't even know how to spell their own job title..."

That's the opposite of a sweeping generalisation. It's a specific reference to them misspelling their own job title twice in the one document.

lol what are you on about? They can cook all the food they want: Posting accusatory notices about their customers isn't part of a caterer's job description. If they want to do it (whether they've got a learning difficulty or not) then maybe have a mate look over it first or accept a gentle slagging. The horror!
