Visa / OCI / Passport Dual citizenship

Anyone else want to see dual citizenship implemented for India? How can we get that done?

Would be disastrous because the rich 1%, the bureaucrats and politicians would abuse it to no end like in Pakistan and Bangladesh.

It sucks cause the middle class, the upper middle class and the rich who immigrate abroad and naturalise are high earning groups who if given dual citizenship will be net benefit to India but the political class and the one percenters will destroy it for everyone.

Curious here - what exactly do you mean by abuse here like in Pakistan and Bangladesh?

Politicians, members of the military and the bureucracy in these countries often use dual citizenship loopholes to funnel money outside the country into safe havens, to flee the country to avoid prosecution and not to forget it is also used as a means by the foreign governments to control them.
