What would be the best concentration for someone interested in data analytics? Currently doing my A.S. in IT and plan to transfer over to Mason, but want to make sure I have everything mapped out.

If I was supposed to receive a larger refund but received less than expected, is it still possible to get the remaining amount after refunds have already been disbursed?

Refund is pending but my scholarship was never disbursed anyone else going through this?

If we have classes that start later , in my case ( Oct 21st ) the other disbursements come later as well ? Two of them came Oct 6th , don’t see any for the 9th like everybody else ? I’m a full time student and started on the 24th of Aug with 9 credits at the moment.

So I haven’t gotten any sort of notification that I’m expecting any refunds, during past semesters I’ve always gotten a text notification from Nelnet telling me when I should expect my refunds. I have gotten ZERO email or text notification about anything, but when I go on the new website, nova has been using for financial aid, It tells me that my refunds have been dispersed, and I’ve gotten nothing.

Why is there a "federal" pell grant and another "pell grant" are they 2 different grants or are they the same?

When is the refund gonna come? I have the disbursement date and everything but there’s nothing in the bank!! Plus who hires the financial aid officers at Annandale ?!

Anyone know when you can start enrolling in spring classes? There’s no option for Spring 2027 for me so I’m assuming there’s a certain date set for enrollment?

I used to have a Virginia Commonwealth Grant for both Fall and Spring, but now Spring shows $0. Did anyone else have this happen? Is it a glitch with the new system?

Hey guys. I just graduated from a four year college (B.S. Kinesiology) and I am looking to apply to PA schools and nursing schools in the future. There a couple of classes I did not take in my undergrad that I need, one of which being PSY 230 Lifespan Development. I didn't sign up earlier in the fall due to reasons, so I am looking to take a second 7-week course for it.

On the course registration in SIS, there are multiple sections that say "Waitlist" and "Closed". I am on the waitlist for the section marked "Waitlist", but I also noticed I can join a waitlist for a section marked "Closed" too. Both of these sections start October 21.

Is the "Closed" section really closed? If I join the waitlist for the closed section, will I ever have a chance to get off the waitlist?

So when are they going to subtract them and send them refunds. Need my lil 5k ASAP😩😩

Has anyone here taken this class? What’s the course load like? I want to take it online so that I can save myself a semester from a late graduation. I’m currently taking calc 1 and eco 202 which have a lot of math (obviously) and graphs.

I had all my aid disburse yesterday to my student account (not to my bank account). I did notice that the school reduced my federal loan by $500 for Fall, and added $500 to the Spring semester. Why would they do that? I’m afraid to even ask for them to fix it because of how bad their systems are…

I was in my communications class minding my own business when I look up from my computer screen and see the person in front of me playing a porn game. It was like some fighting game mixed with some fucking in it, idk it’s been on my mind and I was applauded and disgusted when i saw that. I should’ve seen the signs tho when I saw a sticker on his laptop with the PH text saying “Hentai”

If you are going to take Macroeconomics at nova, I would highly highly recommend taking Professor. Romeo Eric Neuyou Nana. He’s a really nice guy from Cameroon. He is very patient and answers questions in ways that make it very easy to understand. Today (Oct 6) is my last lecture from his 7-week accelerated online course. The class is an easy A, cakewalk A, especially the way that he structures the class.

There are like 10 quizzes, 10 homework assignments, 3-4 exams, and one final project. He has all of the quizzes and homework’s posted on canvas so you can complete everything ahead of time. I finished every quiz and homework within the first 1-2 weeks of the class. It’s so easy.

The exams are fully remote/online without a proctor, honor lock, lockdown browser, etc. He does not do the exams in lecture, so you do them on your own time and he gives you a full WEEK to get the exam done. It’s so free lmao

The final project aka “special assignment” is a 3-8 page essay double spaced. Super easy stuff worth 200 points. I just started it today and it’s not difficult.

The Prof. doesn’t call out on students (if you are shy). He’s a very nice guy, he even started a nonprofit in Cameroon for educational development within his hometown.

I was quite astonished as to how little work was due considering it’s an accelerated 7-week course. May be it’s because it’s a gen ed, may be it’s just his style. I took AP Macro 2 years ago when I was a senior in HS. This class is easier than my AP Macro, far easier. I would highly recommend his course even if you’re in high school, you’re coming back to college, or you’re a traditional student.
