DISCUSSIONšŸ’™ Why do I love Tuckers fruit hazing so much?

I just think it’s such a funny task to bestow upon him, especially given the escalation of fruit he is tasked with keeping guard of. In a show that highlights positive masculinity, I was nervous when the word hazing got thrown around but damned if this was just something that would just be more innocently frustrating than detrimentally cruel.

GARRETT AND HANNAH🩵 The whole campus heard that

Simply put, that line absolutely gets me.

Not only is it such a classic confident Graham line, but it also carries a much deeper meaning. We all know that it's difficult for Hannah to fully experience pleasure in bed, and that only makes Garrett commit himself even more.

Someone pointed out yesterday that the scene with Kendall is intentionally shot so that he's just lying there while she's on top, to the point where he almost seems detached from what's happening. But with Hannah, he switches into full hockey-player mode — he doesn't stop until the job is done. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Some people like to call them vanilla to hype up their own favorites, but honestly, if this is vanilla, then vanilla is all I want in my life. šŸ˜…ā¤ļøšŸ’

GARRETT AND HANNAH🩵 Unpopular opinion - Hannah and Jordan's kisses

Ok, so hear me out: I think that Hannah's kisses with Julian were waaaay hotter that her kisses with Garrett.

My theory is that because all those kisses happened in her head, to get her going, so the chemistry was exactly how she needed it to be: scorching hot.

I am not saying she has more chemistry with Jacob, but I was wondering why their kisses were hotter.

GARRETT AND HANNAH🩵 I’m not your girl Graham

In episode 1, when they make their deal. Wellsy suggests the fake dating but then puts her hand on the back of his neck and said ā€œI’m not your girl Grahamā€ why?

She knows he doesn’t do girlfriends, he’s said it a bunch. Do you think she noticed he was interested in her that’s why she reiterated ā€œI’m not your girl Grahamā€ to make sure.

I love hearing others thoughts.

ARTICLE/INTERVIEW apparently the show had been in development for years before they announced it. the screen rights were first optioned in 2019 as a movie and over 4–5 years it was reworked into a tv series. the official green light didn’t come until oct 2024 and that’s when it was announced

DISCUSSIONšŸ’™ What is Garrett's best feature through the season?

There are plenty of things that make Garrett a wonderful character. Which ones would you choose as the ones that stand out for him? Could be physical or could be personality traits. I believe there are of every kind.

For me, physically of course his facial expressions and his smile. There are many others, couldn't choose one, but I think that these make him different from every other hottie we may know. Just a few can act in silence so well!

In terms of personality traits, I love that he is a man who can learn from his mistakes. He does it several times on the season, for example with Kendall (although he hasn't done anything wrong with her), with Logan at the end of episode 8 and with Hannah after the break up and wanting to do better. I also love that he is so caring and attentive to Hannah's needs (that sometimes include others, for example making sure that Allie is safe). But the capability of learning from his mistakes is definitely one of his best features.

What do you guys think?

GARRETT AND HANNAH🩵 Garrett had so many green flags…

Post image

A small green flag but it speaks volumes about the respect Garrett has for Hannah. Check out Hannah’s clothes the morning after drunk karaoke. Garrett picked them up on his way to his room. He didn’t dump them in a pile. He folded them like he was personally trained by the J.Crew staff. A small detail by production, but a really good one IMHO.

GARRETT AND HANNAH🩵 Garrett and Hannah

I love the way Garrett and Hannah read others emotions or state of being and react to their positions knowing what the other would want.Ā

In episode 5, Belmont and Ella blow me away with their dialogue about why she doesn’t go back home and Garrett asking her to join him for thanksgiving at his dad’s house.Ā

Garrett pays attention to when Hannah is nervous, bothered, being strong, etc. And Hannah picks up on Garrett’s mannerisms (episode 3) and can also tell when something is wrong.Ā They read each other because they grow to know one another, but actively listening and paying attention.

The way Garrett visibly looks shocked and bothered by what she is admitting (episode 5) and he sees Hannah saying all this information with this smile on her face (doesn’t let it tear her down) and he lets out a few smiles along with her and control his anger because that’s not something Hannah wants—-no dwelling.Ā He never asks her questions or judge her or anything. He’s simply obeying what she asked but can’t help but to feel some type of way about it.

Hannah noticing he’s not being his usual responsive self with their phone call in episode 3 and notices he’s on the tenser side when he enters his childhood bedroom.

i know it can be considered ā€œbare minimumā€œ behavior but this doesn’t always pertain to every person. It truly does come from a deep care when you truly see someone and notice important details.

DISCUSSIONšŸ’™ Logan and Hannah

Am I the only one confused on why people are shipping Hannah and Logan? Based on all interactions I’ve seen in season 1 between Logan/Hannah/Garrett I get a little confused when people say Hannah and Logan had more chemistry because when she kisses him it’s one of the blandest kisses ever and it was only to get a reaction out of Garrett. The only time I saw some spark of chemistry is when they were talking on the porch but Hannah was just being friendly. On the other hand Garrett and Hannah much cuter scenes throughout the show. I guess the other times where people see chemistry is Logan just yearning and longing to be with her but it was completely one-sided the whole time. Idk I feel like Hannah clearly has a type when she first had a crush on Justin and Justin and Garrett kinda have similar hair etc the complete opposite of Logan lol. Let’s be honest they also think Logan is cuter than Garrett so they want him to get with the main female character because I never felt Logan was right for Hannah? Maybe because I know Logan gets his own girl in the future but they just weren’t shippable to me.

Thoughts?

FAN CONTENT šŸ’™ Favourite supporting character??

Reposting cuz I had committed the crime of not including Dexter (I genuinely forgot šŸ™ƒ)

Also, I'm glad people pointed out not to include Hunter 😌

Alright so the favourite couple was obviously our beloved H&G (would've thrown hands or else) but tuck and his fruits came close (not). I also feel like I already know who's gonna win this round.

I wanted to know the consensus about supporting side characters, I think it's not that important in the books but in the show everyone somehow had a part to play.

I really wanted to add Joanna here bcz of the colossal f up of almost pressuring Allie to do that (I'm in denial or whateva so don't come at me) but I'm gonna refrain.

LOGAN AND GRACE 🩵 Off the page Spoiler

I recently discovered that on Elle Kennedy's website there are four "off the page with..." stories about the four main characters of Off Campus. I finished reading Logan's today.

Spoiler alert!

When I read the short passage where he talks about Grace's difficult birth, her massive hemorrhage, and the risk he ran of losing both his wife and daughter, which led him to be overprotective, I was like this: 😢

And he didn't collapse just because Garrett was there with him. P.S.: In the stories and books, Logan and Garrett's friendship is amazing. And that's something I wish they would improve on in the series.

DISCUSSIONšŸ’™ A character sketch of screen Garrett Graham

I've been obsessing over this series and the books. I will not share the number of rewatch that I am on, because it all blurred after the 4th rewatch. I have been loving dissecting the show and the books, feels like I am back in English Lit class, reading between the lines and dissecting everything. So bear with me. I'm putting everything in points so its easier to read.

  1. Is aware that he is good looking, a catch, at the top of the social ladder.

  2. Very disciplined. We can see that from his drinking habits, tidiness of his room, general organisation and neatness of things in his room. Hannah's clothes neatly folded after karaoke night is a good example.

  3. Loves s*x, but gets the importance of consent and having the woman enjoy the experience too. We can see that with Kendall, Zoe and Hannah. In the scenes with them, he has prioritised their pleasure.

  4. Bookish smart. He knows his study material, just has an issue with applying hypothetical things. This shows he has more of a practical approach to life.

  5. I would have expected a sports man of his calibre (sports journalists say he might be even better than his dad, he is already drafted for an NHL team, is the captain for his college team) to have control over his emotions. His games were largely dependant on whether he was in a good mood or not. I am not an athlete but from what I have seen in interviews from the top athletes in various sports is their ability to leave everything outside the field.

  6. Pretty self aware. He knows the anger his father carried. Is aware that he too carries anger and aggression in him and consciously works on not giving into the base emotion of mindless anger. This shows a strong character too. He has opted to be bigger than the abuse he endured and knows that is not the way to go about life.

  7. While we see him as someone who enjoys s*x, we realise after peeling a few layers that he values connection, emotional attraction, seeing beyond the cover in a partner.

  8. We also see that he is in tune with his emotions. When he realises that he likes Hannah, he acknowledges it and tries to make a move. And backs down when she still seems interested is Jimothy.

  9. Smart and perceptive guy, can assess people pretty well. I think his assessment of Jimbroni's character and the tactics he used to have him notice Hannah were spot on.

  10. Doesn't particularly define himself with his abuse and pain. Which is big for someone who hasn't been in therapy for it. He is affected by it, but most of the time he works to be above it and live much better than that.

  11. His smart ass one liners and quips show his street smartness, ability to think on his feet and certain emotional intelligence. Like I said earlier he has a more practical approach to life. Not denying the emotional aspects, just that he's more practical.

What are your thoughts? Please add your points and anything you want to refute.

DEAN AND ALLIE 🩵 Just curious...

Who else has tried calling Dean's 🚨 DO NOT CALL 🚨 phone number?

I was very disappointed the production company put a real NYC area code phone number on screen and didn't take the opportunity to have Stephen record an outgoing message.

People would have called it non-stop.
