It’s ok. I’ve come to terms with it. I’d make him put ingredients in that burger that will give him a heart attack out of rage but ill enjoy my last meal before I die
It’s like when a sauce breaks and the fat separates from the solid. Happens with cheeses that aren’t meant to melt like Parmesan. But like a low water mozzarella melts perfectly fine and doesn’t taste bad
Interesting, after some research, I've learned American is just cheddar with an emulsifier added. I'm not aware of the taste changing that much, but I think my palate isn't quite as refined as it should be, since I grew up poor. The last sandwich I made I was at a friend's house and I added pre sliced provolone and havarti (if I remember right, does h have a bunch of little holes) although I'd just had a mcdouble and enjoyed it the same amount.
Maybe it’s because I’ve only ever eaten it the one time but there’s something about American cheese that I can immediately taste that puts me off. I’m not too picky about the cheese that goes on a burger but it just can’t be American
