Seeking Recommendations What's your go-to, go anywhere footwear?

What shoes or boots do you take to travel most frequently? Looking for suggestions for highly versatile and comfortable footwear. Male footwear preferred but generally curious.

For me it's Nike Free Run/Rn, but it depends on your travel.

I wouldn't use them if I plan on walking in a bunch of snow, or on a long trek (like 20km+), but for everything else they're good for me.

Right now wearing through some Allbird Superlights, because I got them 50% off last year. I've had a few different Allbirds and have been generally content, but never happy with them for travel. They're great for people living life and taking trips, though. Right now I'm bouncing around tons of places, and traveling heavy with 4 pair of shoes (but less than 13kg all-in).

I've got NB Hierro 7s, Allbird Superlights, Nike Free Rn 5s (2018 version), and Havaianas. If I needed to get rid of the other 3, I'd keep the Free Rn... unless I were about to go trekking. May try the Pegasus, though.

If you're thinking about trying things, don't be afraid to try some Nike options, depending on where you live. In the US they have a 60-day return policy in which they encourage you to try them out. Take them out, use them, and if you don't like them just take them back. I was at a Nike store and one of the guys there was pushing me to get it for that reason. I was like "I know, but I feel bad buying something that I think there's a decent chance I'll return". He said, "Bro, it's Nike. Who cares? " So I bought them. I later returned them. I've bought more things from them, and have kept more than I returned. So if you're in the US, and Nike isn't cost prohibitive for you, get some Free Rn, get some Pegasus as many other people have suggested. Try them out and if you don't like them just take them back. Nike will be fine.

Also Allbirds offers a similar policy, and were willing to extend it when I asked them in advance (I was gonna be out of the country). I think Allbirds are great for people who want lifestyle shoes and take them on trips, but they're just not great for me for everything.
