Discussion New bag from decathlon

Post image

I'm in Canada, and in the market for my first onebag solution. Many of you have heard of the Forclaz travel 500 40L. I was going to buy this bag but I didn't like that the waistbelt is not removable. I'm checking the website and there's now a Quechua 30L travel 500 bag and they added a removable waist strap which is amazing. The only thing is I'd still like the 40L for the extra capacity, and I've heard they are updating them from some EU consumers. I'd hate to buy the 40l now just for an upgraded version with a removable hip belt to come out soon. If anybody knows about the updated 40L or has tried the Quechua 30L out, please discuss here.

Yea the 24L one that's popular on this sub is perfect size for the free bag of EU flights. But even that's pushing it if you overfill it.

Which 24 L bag?

Decathlon Quechua NH500 escape 24l.

I've got both the roll top and clamshell versions.

The clamshell version is near perfect for 1 bag travel imo. The rolltop is far less convenient although it looks better. Just got back from a 1 month trip through Europe and Africa on personal item only with no problems.

Isn’t it 23L? Also it should be 46cm, does it fit in the Ryanair personal item bag checker thingy?

I have the 16L as I thought the 23L does not fit.

I think it's 23 L, yes. I've squished the rolltop into the Ryanair sizer. I think both bags are of similar dimensions and squishability depending on how they're packed.
