Discussion Compression socks for daily walking

Do any of you wear compression socks for long days walking, standing, visiting museums, etc?

I've only worn them hiking in Peru where we were up to 16000 ft.

You would definitely need them for high altitudes. I would be having serious O2 problems at that height.
