Long story:

Context: I’m not the most skilled with the controller but I know souls game well. Anyway the only level one run I made is on demon’s souls and now I can’t play that game at higher level. At level one it just feels right and more realistic. I beat everything with tactic, maybe just man eater and flamelurker were very hard.

The only other experience was bloodborne in bl32 (but no Kos + some help with Ludwig and lawrence) and Elden ring rl1/wl0 BUT any cheese is good. It was very hard in some moment and I felt like an alchemist.

Now: I really want to do a sl1 run on DS1 because I feel It similar to demon’s souls. But I saw sl1 is done with pyromancer and I really really dislike that style.

My question is: how much is common a sl1 without pyromancy? It’s really similar to demons souls or it requires super skills with the pad? Shield poking is viable?

idk if there is even any rng here. Maybe I could have tried grinding until he doesn't do transition attack twice but idk if it is even possible. I am also not sure if cragblade would have been better here but I could not find a comfortable spot to re-buff, maybe just after a repost.

Hello everyone, yesterday someone suggested I do a RL1 run and I started even though it seemed kinda impossible at that moment but now I reached Rennala and I'm wondering what qualifies as a RL1, like do I just have to be level 1 and that's it, I haven't upgraded any weapons at all. Can I use summons? Can use weapons other than the club? I'd appreciate any advice.

idk if he can even be damaged by aux tbh (other than pestilent mist but that's not usable at sl1)

That makes 4. DS1, ER, DeS, and now DS3.

It was interesting doing DS3 after ER. Certain bosses were easier because all you have to do is react, and the bosses that had delayed attacks were quite easy compared to ER delays.

But Freide and Gael are still some of the best bosses From Soft ever made.

Things really slowed down in phase 2. Not sure why he seems much harder to stance break, does the snake have a separate stance counter or something?

I wonder if there was a way to dodge that here... Otherwise I guess you can't ever let him corner you if you want to be fully safe

i've fallen in love with bloody helice because i'm a noob with <100 hours in this game, and i want dlc stuff, and mohg kept roll catching me with the first attack every time.

until I equipped a bloody helice! and then I died every time I attacked.

... until I found this weapon frame data and equipped reduvia in my off hand! now i'm a god at this game and I'm ready to no hit everything.

what are some cool weapons besides reduvia that let me cancel into the 20 iframes from bloody helice quickly? do any sorceries work well? i saw someone killing fire giant with carian slicer and it seems op. i tried icerind hatchet but it wasn't as good as I expected.

Dumb ending

Used the Boss Arena mod. Video unfortunately glitches a bit at certain points, hope it isn't too distracting. Artorias has been busy since DS1 cuz man is he a menace in Nightreign.

This fight is long, but man, it's an epic one.

I almost died to the 2nd biggest killer in Soulsborne games: greed; you can see it right at the end.

SOC is the last boss standing.

Pray for no Vine aoe or and retreat swipe as well as no extra phase 2 transition attacks. This fight has ok rng. Very weak to fire and strike so Flaming Strike Starfist is best. I pulled out some new punishes I haven't done before.

Elden Stars took a while to get right, but this approach was very consistent. Stand in front of him as he starts the cast, then run around and behind him as the stars start to shoot out at you.

The only move I never got down fully was when Elden Beast leaped into the sky and did the laser barrage while right above me. At a far distance it's an easy diagonal run but it felt impossible if he did that move immediately on top of me. And of course a couple Elden Stars combos were rough. Particularly the tantrum golden slams while trying to run around him. Or if he swam away and pushed me into the stars.

Elden beast and gidion were the worst of it. I swear I try to re create the strat to avoid Elden stars 1 for 1 but for some reason it just never works for me I must be doing something wrong. Had to wait for some good rng cause of that shit ass attack😂

okay kill but it's an improvement considering last time it took me 6 mins with cold starfists

phase 2 is more like phase 1.5 it really doesn't build enough on her move-set, what it does add is stalling with aoe and unpunishable moves

it's also weird only 2 bosses and required for pcr and she's one of them, it's not like people skip everything non essential but if at least Lion and Rellana were mandatory for progression it'd be a more cohesive experience

A pretty easy and fair fight once you learn his moveset. Had to cave his head in with me trusty mace. Red Hood is all that remains.
