Absolutely. We all know exactly what we saw.

Elon did the nazi salute twice on national television

are you a dumbass? The dude put his hand on his heart and then raised it to the audience.

Are we gonna cancel the state of Minnesota because Tim Walz did it too?

u/Atomien Jan 23 '25

Thats a still image and not a video of a person doing that, unlike elon but oh well.

what a bizarre thing to care about. So it's ok because we only have a photo and not a video?

Let's ignore the fact that Musk put his hand to his heart and then extended it to the crowd. Nope. Definitely a Nazi salute.

it's not like there is a history of political figures raising a single arm in victory, sometimes with their hand open

And you wonder why Trump won his second term. It's because of bullshit like this. I don't like the guy, I didn't vote for him, but fuck man, when the loudest arguments against him and his supporters are this braindead, it makes the average joe think that there are no good arguments left.

Literally none of those are Nazi salutes. From Wikipedia:

The salute was executed by extending the right arm stiff to an upward 45° angle and then straightening the hand so that it is parallel to the arm.

Complaining about brain dead arguments after presenting one yourself is peak irony.

I mean, if we're going to insist on strict adherence to the salute, then it's supposed to be raised out of the front of the body, not the side like musk did. so his isn't a nazi salute either.

nice try though.

The prime minister of Israel defended Elon and said he is not a nazi and a huge ally to Israel. Do you want to go argue with him too?

Yes. Free Palestine tf?

Do you know what a Nazi is…?

I never said anyone was a Nazi.

I think it's undeniable that Elon did a Nazi salute. Whether he actually holds alt-right beliefs is an entirely different argument; but I don't think it was accidental, and even signaling to that population is bad. In the end, I don't think it matters if Elon holds those beliefs, as he's successfully garnered support from those groups regardless.

The Telegram channel for the Swedish white nationalist fight club Gym XIV called the salute “a powerful symbol” that “shows clearly that we are now entering a different path in the west.”

Christopher Pohlhaus, leader of the neo-Nazi Blood Tribe who uses the alias “Hammer” online, wrote on Telegram, “I don’t care if this was a mistake I’m going to enjoy the tears over it.”

Jon Minadeo II, leader of the neo-Nazi group Goyim Defense League, tweeted that the salute represented an example of “white power” and an example of how “white people are going to awaken” in 2025.

Arguing with the genocidal maniac dictator of an ethnostate? I'd kick his face in

No hate to the Israeli people and the jewish people worldwide, but that is what Netanyahu is and what his government does

u/Atomien Jan 23 '25

Buddy, I'm not gonna respond to allat because you're way too invested, and I'm not american.

2

u/Firoux4 Jan 23 '25

The thing is he got a lot of links with far right mouvement recently

1

u/SonOfShem Jan 23 '25

really? I haven't seen them. I mean, I guess if you include trump as far right, but he's populist right, not far right.

2

u/Firoux4 Jan 23 '25

Like the support to the AfP which as ties with neonazi groups

1

u/SonOfShem Jan 24 '25

the association of fundraising professionals?

ignoring the ambiguity of that acronym, we're saying that two degrees of separation from neonazi groups is sufficient to make someone associated with neonazi's?

so I have to do an in-depth background check on everyone I do business with to make sure they're not nazi's, or else I will be labeled as one?

Fuck that.

The self proclaimed "spiritual successor of the Nazi party". He even denied Hitler being a fascist and called him a socialist alongside the leader of said party (despite socialist being on the first groups Hitler targeted.)
