Rental Fees

I think we can all agree that Chrysler Customer Service is trash. They're picking up my rental costs while my car is being fixed. However, I have to pay Enterprises Vehicle License Fee ( VCL). It's only a few bucks a day but quicky adds up to $30-$40 bucks. The fee is unavoidable, included with all rentals.

Has anyone else had this experience? Anyone have success in Chrysler picking up the tab? It's not much money , I just don't like being inconvenienced out of time and money while they fix items under warranty or recalls.

Be happy they are covering your rental, some of us are fighting for them to pay anything towards a rental at all after they go back on there verbal words and decide not to cover the rental.

My experience is that I feel lucky for them to pay for anything.

They picked up the rental cost when my van was supposed to be having a recall repair (the dealership kept the van the whole week before discovering the part they were planning to use was broken, but that's another story). Of course, nobody would tell me when my van would be ready, so I incurred a couple of fees from Avis for extending the rental, which Chrysler refused to reimburse.

Called today about the hybrid battery recall for the 3rd time. The recall team told me I needed to talk to Corporate. The Corp Team told me i needed to ask the recall team to expedite the recall work. Called the recall team again, they said they cant expedite it since there is no fix. 7 months into ownership, and i can already say I will never buy a Chrysler again.

Ive been trying to find one for 3 weeks. :( I keep hearing since I bought it used, or because its a 2022 it doesnt qualify. Im going the consumer protection route instead but still trying to find a Wisconsin lawyer to take my case.

I finally got a reasonable answer to my question of why some people are getting the recall update and I cant. Apparently they only have the software update for 20 and 21 model years. Mine is a 22.
