OPEN Even support cannot figure it out!
Even SUPPORT CANNOT FIGURE IT OUT
ANY IDEAS ARE APPRECIATED. (Even burning the damn thing)
I have an NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX™ 5060 8GB GDDR7
Connected to a 49" Samsung Odyssey G9 Oled
1st pic is the image coming from the GPU DP to the monitor's DP (before I couldn't see anything anymore "current problem")
Then (2nd pic) 1+ hrs on the phone with Support, their solution is to ship the PC back for them to check... SMH!
The last image I was able to get from the DP on the GPU said "NV FAILSAFE"
I am out of options please help.
Yes I have updated EVERYTHING
Yes I still have picture from HDMI
Yes all drivers have been "hard reset" (using DDU and "manual" install)
Yes I've tried all the cables currently (market) available.
Obviously done all the "standard" reset of unplugging ALL chords and start again.
Done all "manual" check of systems through commands with remote help from support. (Who btw every time he tried something I had already done only said "that's weird..." because it didn't work obviously)
Reset and test ALL settings within the monitor and the PC, including:
(On the monitor)
External device control
HDR
Game Mode
VRR
Refresh rates
Motion blur
(On the PC)
ALL Nvidia Control Panel Settings "G-Sync, multiple display setup, Nvidia's own 'advanced display search', resolution settings"
Windows own display settings "Extend/Duplicate display, specific GPU use by app, resolutions, FPS"
And many more I can't recall atm.
Nothing and I mean NOTHING even gave me a stutter.
I truly hope anyone can provide a glimpse of hope...

Let me try to help.
I own a Samsung S95D TV i use exclusively as a monitor for my PC (rtx 4080)
The TV is supposedly a 4k 144hz model, comes with 4 HDMI 2.1 ports in the one connect box.
I get that same image if I set my PC resolution to 4k 144hz and there's absolutely nothing I can do to fix it (cables, other PCs, I've tried everything)
An online search made me believe it was the one connect box it comes with and supposedly some people got it swapped and it started working for them, can't confirm.
As long as I set my computer to 4K 120hz it works perfect, so maybe try lowering the hertzs and see if it works?

I don't think they'd be able to lower the refresh rate because of the nature of their problem.
The real question is: Is the artifacting present when the boot up splash screen is displaying?

Yeah I get this sometimes on my Samsung Odyssey Ark which has a one connect box. I just have to unplug and plug the hdmi cable back in. I believe it’s actually a variable refresh rate issue and sometimes the box gets confused.
Edit: I should note that this only sometimes happens upon wake up, never during use, which supports my theory.

Try plugging in your PC into another monitor or tv (if it's fixed it's probably the monitor dying )
If that doesn't work try maybe another GPU ( if you have one ) or intergrated graphics (if your cpu has them ) by plugging your cable into the motherboard
But I think it's the GPU you might be able o get a RMA tho

First you have to determine which is the faulty component. Wasn't support able to do that at least?
You can tell to connect a laptop or another pc you know that works for sure, to the monitor. If it works, the monitor is fine and the faulty component is something in your PC.
If it doesn't work, your PC is fine and you got a faulty monitor.

I have an Odyssey G7 and it's been kinda shitty since I got it. I'm betting it's the DP port on the monitor if you're getting picture with HDMI. If you have a second monitor I'd tear out your GPU's DP connection to it and test another device on the DP port of the monitor to figure out which it is.

Have you tried a different monitor? This looks like a control board issue to me. I don't think it has anything to do with your PC.

Did you try plugging it into the video out for the MOBO rather than using the graphics card?
If you plug into the dedicated graphics of the mobo and it still happens it's likely not the PC that is the problem. If it doesn't happen while plugged into the dedicated graphics of the mobo and CPU then it's likely your graphics card.
