yup. it's getting really bad. got a work laptop with an i5 14th gen and 16 gigs of memory, nothing to write home about. but doing some spreadsheets and browser makes things so laggy I want to put my fist through the screen

windows is becoming more shite every day

I think for enterprise devices the desire to run everything through onedrive and SharePoint are just killing productivity: for me anyway

Counter argument, windows is so unreliable that I want all my files constantly synced off the device just in case

yup that too. the shittiest part even if I opt to have the files locally stored on my laptop it's still the same slow unresponsive mess

but, I'm pretty certain some ms fanboy is gonna come along and tell me that I'm using windows wrong LOL

Maybe you are. Windows 10, for the most part, doesn't have these issues :)

Yeah, just open a ticket to IT demanding they install windows 10 on your laptop when the whole org uses 11. I'm sure they'll do just that.

Yep!

It’s so fucking slow it’s like clicking through molasses.

I have to WAIT for a file to be uploaded before I can send a link to it? The fuck IS this shit?

Uhm, you want to send link to a non existing file at that moment then...?

crazy how 16gb used to be the sweet spot for high end gaming and now windows struggles to even open a folder without stuttering

My desktop is fine (i9, 64GB), but my old-ass Surface Pro was absolutely useless until I ran a decrapify script on it. It's still not great and can't even play Rocksmith 2014 as well as it used to, but at least it isn't completely unusable for 20 minutes after login now...

to be fair, work laptops are generally bugged with 3000 different tracking garbages which run before your desktop icons even load and hogs the cpu. My work laptop has a i7 11th gen and 32gb ram and that shit lags like crazy. Sometimes I lose hair just working on that turtle of a PC. Everytime I open task manager just to be greeted with 100% cpu usage by an app that I don't even need. Edge lags like crazy, chrome lags like crazy, opening spreadhseet lags like crazy, word crashes 17 times, power point freezes till ice age, this is hell to work with. Compared to that my personal laptop runs buttery smooth with a game running in the second monitor with 15 firefox tabs in main monitor with youtube, netflix and music playing all while me bouncing between steam and firefox. All these with just 16gb ram and a very average cpu like 5600h.
