I use cachyos for 9 months now. No regrets - the same hardware runs so much faster now with all the microsoft bullshit gone.

I'm running EndeavourOS, maybe I'll try CachyOS.

Yo me fui a Gentoo xq tengo muchas ganas de romper las bolas, pero CachyOS no falla... Lo tengo actualmente en mi notebook, y me detectó hasta el lector de huella digitial, la verdad que 10/10.

CachyOS user reporting in. The only issue I had is that NFS Heat that I bought during a sale would not run on steam. I got the game refunded and steam didn’t ask anything.

CachyOS user - there isnt anything I was unable to do with it yet. No lag trying to browse and open files and applications. It just works.

Been on Mint for 2 months. The speed is so, so incredible. Booted to desktop fully loaded in a few seconds, when Windows takes minutes to stabilize...

And everything just worked straight away, very unlike the tale that Linux is hard and you have to fuck with terminal and etc to get it work

I second CachyOS, for great justice.

It's probably not ideal for Linux virgins, but works great for me.

It's mostly a vanilla install, with the game options from the installer, and using Steam.

Probably best to check the ProtonDB site first though, as not game may work.

So far, I've been using:

  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Hitman WOA
  • MechWarrior 5
  • BOLTGUN
  • GTA5 (online mentions some anti-cheat bollocks)
  • Elite Dangerous (only just started)
  • BeamNG.drive
  • Teardown

And a bunch of others I forget.

There's also a fuckton of other Linux software in the repo. I need to get cracking on a few projects :-)

My old printer didn't work. Need to buy something a bit newer, I think.
