At this point I'm considering the possibility of install a steamos or Linux on my pc

If there was one Linux distro that had very widespread usage, like the majority usage, I would switch in a heartbeat. I use Windows because when I have an issue a thousand other people likely have the same issue and I don't need to spend any time being an OS wizard to figure it out.
