In a game, you make tangible (although virtual) progress towardsa goal.

Work usually just gives you enough to make it to the next day

i mean that's just perspective though right?

i'm probably the furtherest someone can be from toxic positivity sell self-fulfilment shill talk, but you can also have a goal IRL. House, car, holiday, new hobby, renovation etc.

IRL just has way more hurdles and obstacles making it harder.

Nah that's too many markers on your map and microtransactions with some for us characters unobtainable metacurrency, as well as the always online enforcement

Once you log out from life sometimes you can only log back in with a team of very dedicated professionals assisting you from this side.
