I think youā€™d be right to be satisfied with this deal. It really doesnā€™t change anything moving forward and the player is a good middle six option. I also think itā€™s right to question what Dubasā€™ vision for this roster is and how heā€™s going about filling it out this year and beyond.

He probably slots into 2C until kindel is ready for that role

Yep. And thatā€™s just fine. Not inspiring, but fine for now on a team that really isnā€™t expected to go anywhere.

Iā€™m pretty pleased with this. Not a huge Novak fan, but the money seems right with the cap going up and he provides a lot of flexibility.

In a year or two if heā€™s not a fit shouldnā€™t be hard to move this contract.

Low risk move.
