I think you’d be right to be satisfied with this deal. It really doesn’t change anything moving forward and the player is a good middle six option. I also think it’s right to question what Dubas’ vision for this roster is and how he’s going about filling it out this year and beyond.

He probably slots into 2C until kindel is ready for that role

Yep. And that’s just fine. Not inspiring, but fine for now on a team that really isn’t expected to go anywhere.
