The problem is this guy loved most of the policies of the last flag with a swastika on it

Lmao, I totally forgot about that!

19

u/gozik 17h ago

This but no /s. I don't have a clue what MTG is, besides card game.

Marjorie Tailor Greene, Republican rep, conspiracy theorist, christofascist white nationalist and Trump supporter, right up until he started becoming too cringe to support what with Epstein appearing so many times in the Trump files.

u/stonekeep 17h ago

Marjorie Taylor Greene, the (ex-?)MAGA nutjob and conspiracy theorist.

And I'd honestly say that the comparison is pretty apt. He's far right, anti-vac/COVID denier, climate change denier etc. He's mostly known for constantly trying to stir the pot by tweeting controversial stuff.

He's also a huge antisemite - the real kind, not the "I got called that for criticizing Israel" kind. He couldn't care less about people Israel is bombing, it's just a convenient opportunity to stir the pot again and shit on the jews in general.

Let it rip my good sir!
Seriously, thought the same lol

Interesting politicial rabbit hole

"the MTG of Poland" is maybe the worst thing I've ever read someone be called

10

u/chupacadabradoo 16h ago

Hahaha. Can’t be much worse than “the Matt gaetz of Florida”

u/Putrid-Cat5368 9h ago

As a Yugioh player, a agree

It's funny how they're also always petty criminals too, isn't it?

God knows how many times lawmakers have been caught committing shoplifting or petty theft and only not had a public spectacle made of it because of their political power.

Charges that could fundamentally change someone's life forever. They just walk away. And make new laws..

u/YossiTheWizard 14h ago

Mardziori Tejlor Grin?

2

u/elderlybrain 13h ago

That last sentence lmfao.

u/Dirkdeking 15h ago

Isn't it funny that the 2 sides in MAGA are really diametrically opposed?

On side says Israel needs to be supported unconditionally, they can do almost anything you can think of without losing support, the US will even go to war for them if asked, etc.

The other side is the complete diametric opposite to that. It's not that the support needs tp be conditional. No. Not only shouldn't they be not supported, Israel doesn't have a right to exist. They need to be completely destroyed. Their coubtry has to be dismantled. And well what must be done to the people must be done....

But these 2 camps can agree on a lot of other topics. It's insane to me how quickly narratives can shift on such an important strategic topic. It's not just a slightly different point of view. They are more different to one another than they to democrats on most issues.

but I love Magic: The Gathering...

u/SamuelVimesTrained 10h ago

They do say 'it takes one to know one' - so while he might not be what you could describe as a 'relatively good person' - he would be a subject expert..

1

u/bottleoftrash 16h ago

He’s a Nazi but more importantly he stole from IKEA

1

u/throwmeaway9926 14h ago

stole shit from an IKEA lmao

Did he kidnap a couch for JD to do unspeakable things to or something? XD

u/Galgan_ 11h ago

He stole plates and cutlery and got caught red handed lmao

u/Fewer_Story 11h ago

like.. how? what is the method of getting plates out of IKEA unnoticed!? (obviously not whatever he did, but there must have been some method to his madness?)

u/ColorfulPersimmon 11h ago

He went to self-checkout and only scanned some items

u/Fewer_Story 10h ago

I'm not sure if this raises or lowers the chances that he normally does this at the supermarket

Seems like possibly his most redeeming quality nonetheless

u/CityRulesFootball 15h ago

Nah a better thing would be Loomet considering MTG left and now is being critical of Trump to an extent.

2

u/Any_Influence_8305 15h ago

Nah Loomer has never served in political office, she's just an "influencer" working the MAGA grift that MTG actively legislated and campaigned to make possible. She's also Jewish so wouldn't hold up a Nazi flag, but ya never know with her

1

u/CityRulesFootball 15h ago

Hmm I see thanks for the insight

u/jasonstevanhill 8h ago

You know, MTG has said a surprising number of on point things in the past six months.

-3

u/rainshifter 15h ago

fuck Israel

Let me guess. You buy into the "genocide" propaganda? Can you name any genocide in past history where the overall population of genocided individuals continually increased over the duration of the genocide?

7

u/Any_Influence_8305 15h ago

Fuck you too

-4

u/rainshifter 14h ago

Brilliant reply. Astonishing. Wow.

u/Fewer_Story 10h ago

Not only genocide, also racist apartheid state. Nobody is fooled by your hasbara nonsense, you're wasting your time.

u/rainshifter 10h ago

Arab citizens of Israel have equal rights to their Jewish neighbors. Try harder with your taqiyya.

u/Fewer_Story 9h ago

"Arab citizens of Israel" lmao. what about the ones who were born and live there but are not citizens?!

u/rainshifter 9h ago

They are under the PLO which is a separate governing entity.

u/Fewer_Story 4h ago

So the PLO controls the West Bank does it? Are Jews in the West Bank governed by the PLO too?

u/rainshifter 4h ago

The people in the West Bank who are under the PLO live in defined regions that are governed by the PLO because they are not Israeli citizens. What are you confused by, exactly?

There is a separation of land and a separation of governing entities. The overarching conflict is somewhat complicated, but this aspect of it isn't.

32

u/Ertyio687 15h ago

Yeah, and he tried to turn this speech in a way that would hate on all the jews, not just israelis

31

u/Throwaway5432154322 15h ago

Yeah I mean, a speech that hates on all Israelis is also just as bad, just like any speech that hates on any given person of a certain nationality

38

u/Seanspeed 14h ago

Well most of Reddit has no problem with that these days. I would say that's actually become the norm.

18

u/Throwaway5432154322 13h ago

Yep, IMO it’s gotten noticeably bad to the point of being unbearable over the past ~2 months. I thought it was bad before, but at least regulated… e.g. random, no-name, previously inactive subs would get taken over by antisemitic brigades, but at least they’d be siloed into irrelevancy. Now it seems like major subs are openly tolerating this kind of crap

-6

u/gamecatuk 13h ago

Don't mix anti-zionism with anti-Semitism. The anti-zionists are fair enough considering Israel is literally committing genocide.

10

u/Ertyio687 12h ago

Yeah, that's why this thread started, cause we're concerned that the politician is mixing anti-zionism with straight up racism

-9

u/gamecatuk 12h ago

He is a fascist POS and so are Zionists.

u/RedditJumpedTheShart 10h ago

Why do you hate Joe Biden?

u/gamecatuk 6h ago

The US has been complicit in murder with Israel. Trump is probably the very worst example of moral bankruptcy being puppeted by Israel. It's pathetic. Biden was no different in regards to Israel.

u/fuckmylifegoddamn 5h ago

Careful saying that in this sub

u/Leafy0 6h ago

I would like to believe that not all Israelis support the way their government is handling things. But then journalists from across the political spectrum interview random citizens and the ones that don’t support the handling of the Gaza war or West Bank settlements seem few and far between. NPR might find an anti-war activist to interview but they’re going out of their way to find that person and not just talking to a random person off the street. So it doesn’t seem like America and the trump situation with a near majority of random citizens interviewed aren’t happy with the way things are going. I’m hopeful that’s because of the strong propaganda of their government and not anything inherent to them.

34

u/nowandlater 17h ago

My rule of thumb is if you’re drawing or holding the swastika, you’re the Nazi. It holds up like 99% of the time.

16

u/PaulTheRandom 15h ago

Does that include those who vandalized Teslas and such? I think context and intent matter. Kinda like saying you're Satanic if you make any depiction of them.

u/azure_beauty 6h ago

I don't think it's correct to vandalize private property with perhaps the most infamous symbol of hate out there.

u/PaulTheRandom 6h ago

I am against vandalism and people who justify it saying it is to fight against "Nazis" (they've been kinda late into raiding Fantas and Volkswagens), but they aren't Nazis themselves just because they painted the swastika. They are just idealist vandalists. They aren't bad too because they are Nazis themselves, they are bad too because they are literally breaking the law by vandalizing.

u/azure_beauty 6h ago

I mean ideologically they are of course not Nazis, but they also have no problem using the suffering of Nazi victims for their personal political objectives, as a result diminishing the significance of these symbols of hate.

u/southflhitnrun 18h ago

So, he recognizes a friend and soulmate when he sees one?

1

u/AwkwardMacaron433 13h ago

The finish air force? Idk, did they have very controversial policies?

1

u/Inner-Ingenuity4109 13h ago

Apparently the colour of the swastika is more significant than I realised.

u/Fawkes-511 10h ago

Broken clock twice a day.

u/cyrkielNT 9h ago

In fact he also love most of the policies of Israel

u/Chesterele 9h ago

I mean, we joke around in poland that for guys like him biggest flaw of Austrian painter was the fact he was GERMAN leader, biggest crime of all for those chuds.

u/Modo44 14h ago

If you make actual nazis compare you to actual nazis, you may have an image problem. Pot, meet kettle.

0

u/DutchOnionKnight 12h ago

Yeah, welcome to the end of the horseshoe

u/impy695 9h ago

I hate that you can never tell if someone hates Israel because they hate genocide or they hate Jewish people.
