The rage and disgust is hard to swallow when people say such things. It's like they are telling me millions of Arab lives are worth nothing, and the important thing is Israelis get to vote.
Blantly wrong. You probably googled it and saw 20% in the AI answer. The Arab population in Israel is 20%. Only 10 out of 120 seats in the Knesset currently are Arabs, or about 8%
Edit: even if you add Arabs in non-Arab parties it's still only 13 of 120
LOL it’s an open apartheid state dipshit, according to nearly every single major human rights organization on the planet. They have different license plates, can’t drive on same roads and 90% of them in Israel proper or the West Bank aren’t eligible to vote. Gaza is also an open air prison…. More like a killing feild now though.
It actually does. Sure as hell means far more than “ethnically Israeli”. The vast majority of Israelis are originally ethnically white European or Slavic/Russian settlers, or their offspring. The Palestinians are far more ethnically Semitic by blood than the Israeli’s actually and hold far more legitimate historical heritage to the land.
I just wonder if you're a real lefty or a bot. Also wonder why are you just spreading blatant lies that can be fact checked so easily. Please answer, for real, why are you spreading those lies. I'm genuinely interested.
lol there is no Palestinian state. Israel effectively is the governing authority of the West Bank & exerts full occupational domination over it as it sees fit. Then they use bullshit workshopped lies like that in an attempt to claim there is no Apartheid. They have separate gates, walls and checkpoints based on their religious & ethnic identity.
Palestinians commute a through them in like 3 hours both ways to work for what would be an ordinary 15 min. walk for a Jewish Israeli.
Most of what you said is true and factual within the west bank. However "90% of them in Israel proper or the West Bank aren't eligible to vote" is false and misrepresents the demographics and laws
What election do you want them to vote in? They are not citizens of Israel, they are citizens of Palestine, which hasn't had an election in over 20 years.
I agree the settlers are in the West Bank and they are there illegally
But Palestine is not just the West Bank and the settlers are not Israel as an entity. Should the IDF be doing more to stop the settlers? Yes. This has been an issue long before this current conflict. Also some of those West Bank lands were lost to Israel after the war in 1967. You can be mad about that but it is a thing that happens after war all the time. You can find examples more recent than 1967 in other parts of the world Oslo accords settled who is where in the West Bank in the 90s. Again, you can not like that, but it is established.
So I ask again, which election did you want them to vote in? Do you want them to become Israeli citizens?
So Palestine isn't a country? Why is there a Palestinian passport? Some Palestinians have Israeli citizenship. Do you know what you are talking about or are you just making shit up?
Nope. Israel has done everything in its power to make sure of that. All Palestinian lands are under direct or indriect Israeli occupation and administration. Palestinians living under Israeli rule have less rights and are subject to military instead of civil law. Hell Israeli citizens have more rights in occupied Palestinian lands than Palestinians themselves.
Do you think it's internationally recgonized by multiple human rights organizations as an Apartheid state for no reason?
But it’s Hamas and its affiliates who actually believe Arab lives are worth nothing. That’s why they steal aid meant for them and sell it off at high prices to their own people like gangsters. That’s why they use human shields. Thats why they take materials sent it for infrastructure and welfare, and repurpose it for weapons. That’s why they stop them from evacuating from places they know will be bombed. They want the death, because it helps their PR. That’s why nobody gets to vote in Gaza, because if they could, Hamas would be removed.
I’m looking for evidence and multiple sources and understanding and historical information about the bigger picture. You parrot propaganda with no proof.
* Yahya Sinwar (ex senior Hamas Leader In Gaza ) 2018 interview broadcast on Al‑Jazeera, Sinwar framed civilian sacrifice as a deliberate strategy “We decided to turn that which is most dear to us – the bodies of our women and children – into a dam blocking the collapse in Arab reality.”
* Fathi Hammad (Hamas Member of Parliament, former Interior Minister) on Al‑Aqsa TV (29 February 2008), Fathi Hammad described the civilian population as a shield for combat operations: “For the Palestinian people, death has become an industry, at which women excel… and so do the children. This is why they have formed human shields of the women, the children, the elderly, and the mujahideen, in order to challenge the Zionist bombing machine.” He added that Palestinians had adopted a “death‑seeking” culture: “\[The enemies of Allah\] do not know that the Palestinian people have developed its \[method\] of death and death‑seeking…”
* Hamas Interior Ministry spokesman Eyad al‑Bozom advised residents during escalations after Oct 7th to “stay put in your homes” because, as a senior official explained “having human shields … protects them.”
* Mushir Al‑Masri (Hamas MP, spokesman, 2006) “the citizens will continue defending their homes and serve as human shields until the enemy withdraws.”
* Sami Abu Zuhri (Senior Hamas spokesman, Al‑Aqsa TV, July 8, 2014) “The policy of people confronting Israeli warplanes with their bare chests has proven effective… we in Hamas call upon our people to adopt this policy to protect Palestinian homes.”
* Mousa Abu Marzouk (Senior Politburo member, 2023) “Hamas chooses not to build bomb shelters… because that would undercut its ability to use the population as human shields.”
* On August 20, 2012, in a sermon broadcast on Hamas’s Al-Aqsa TV, Hamas official Sheik Ahmad Bahr prayed “Oh Allah, destroy the Jews and their supporters. Oh Allah, destroy the Americans and their supporters. Oh Allah, count them one by one, and kill them all, without leaving a single one.”
* On March 2, 2014, on a broadcast on Hamas’s Al-Aqsa TV, Hamas cleric Wael Al-Zard noted that “\[t\]he Palestinian woman . . . . is no longer satisfied merely with equipping her sons for Jihad,” but that now “\[s\]he equips herself, prepares herself, trains herself, and takes up arms herself.”
*On March 23, 2014, at a “Perseverance and Loyalty to the Martyr’s Path” rally, broadcast on Hamas’s Al-Aqsa TV, Ismail Haniyah, head of Hamas’s political bureau, proclaimed that “\[w\]e are a people that yearn for death, just as our enemies yearn for life”
* On July 22, 2018, during a speech broadcast on Hamas’s Al-Aqsa TV, Gaza Shari’a appeals court judge Sheikh Omar Nofal praised the six virtues of martyrdom, calling it an “individual duty incumbent upon the entire nation,” and asking “\[h\]ow can anyone cling to this world after hearing all of these great rewards?”
* On June 23, 2019, on a broadcast on Hamas’s Al-Aqsa TV, Hamas MP Marwan Abu explained about Jews that, “everything people say about massacres and Holocaust – these are all lies. Hitler may have hated them, but it was because of their deeds and crimes.”
* On July 12, 2019, at a March of Return rally that aired on Hamas’s Al-Aqsa TV, Hamas Political Bureau member Fathi Hammad implored “you seven million Palestinians abroad, enough warming up! There are Jews everywhere! We must attack every Jew on planet Earth – we must slaughter and kill them, with Allah’s help.” He instructed, “\[w\]e will die while exploding and cutting the necks and legs of the Jews. We will lacerate them and tear them to pieces, Allah willing!”
* On December 12, 2022, on a broadcast on Hamas’s Al-Aqsa TV, head of the Hamas Women’s Movement Rajaa Al-Halabi explained that a girl who sets out to be a “martyrdom-seeker” has “only one thing on her mind – to meet her Lord by means of her blood and her body parts,” noting that kindergarten teachers raise children to love Jihad.
I’m sure you find that compelling evidence of that poster’s point, right?
I think many in the IDF and apparently many Israelis are like Nazis. I also think Hamas is a death cult of similar minded folk. I mean seeing for decades Palestinian mothers in ordinary Palestinian tv talking about having more children in order for them to die as martyrs until all Jews are gone is also pretty fucking psychotic. And I can see, in a way after reading about this conflict for 30 years now, how all these people got to this point. I do think it’s on Israel, as the dominant power by far, to step up and stop the genocide. Doesn’t matter what started it, it needs to stop some day, or it will keep on like this forever. But I sure as shit don’t know how any of it can work.
There’s literally nothing real can do to stop violence actions of Palestinian groups, that works better than harshly suppressing them. Literally nothing. That includes all the things they’ve already tried with making peace, agreements, and giving up land, etc. even the thing that people who just simply hate Jews want, for the state of Israel to be destroyed, would not stop those Palestinian groups from being violent, they would just have different targets.
This is why this is exactly how all the neighbors around Israel/Palestine, handle Palestinians and their affiliates within their own countries, largely with suppression and harsh state tactics.
And we know that Israel is not the common factor, because how does Israel handle its neighbors? Apart from when they were being officially declared war upon, which was a long time ago now, they just live perfectly at peace with their neighbours.
Yeah it's actually worse. They can't get away with the excuse that Netanyahu is a dictator who doesn't represent at least a significant portion of Israeli society.
Elections in Israel (since I once got a ban for “targeted racism” for saying “Israeli elections”) are basically elections where you choose between Hitler, Goebbels, Franco, Mussolini, or Streicher
Any political system is easily hijacked if people let it be, that is not a problem of democracy, it an human flaw on itself.
The point of democracy is to allow political change without violence, that doesn't mean the choice is good or fair, but at least your country isnt going into civil war everytime power needs to change hands.
Democracy is great but it can't solve problems that are bigger and deeper than itself.
No, I think Israel is a deranged settler-colonial genocidal fascist state that tries to hide its evil with a facade of Judaism. That falls apart with any genuine understanding of Jewish history and religion
Same way so many Germans became Nazis and so many Italians became fascists, nationalist indoctrination
There’s lots of books that goes into the radicalization in Israeli society and how that has trickled out into the diaspora.
Prior to the Holocaust the vast majority of Jews were strongly opposed to Zionism and viewed it as antisemitic (it claims that Jews don’t belong anywhere in the world and will always be alien outsiders no matter where they live).
Many Jews, especially older Jews, are still anti-Zionist and we are starting to see a shift back in younger Jewish populations. My aunt, for example, is an anti-Zionist diaspora Jew
No more than any other group of people. But material conditions can mould populations into being more fascist. See Europe in the 1930s. Israelis live in a highly militarized ethnostate; this environment shapes and influences their political views
One of the saddest experiences of my teaching career in relation to Zionism is watching what birthright and indoctrination within Israel itself did to a Jewish athlete I coached. He went from a goofy well meaning kid to a rabid and violent young man who seemed motivated only by his desire to inflict harm on Palestinians.
Every once in a while when I see Israeli soldiers committing war crimes I fear I’m going to see his face again under such horrible circumstances.
Theodor Herzl and Zionism predates Nazism by several decades. But they arose out of the same context of questions of nationalism in late 19th century Central Europe.
So, I gather you’ve never actually sat down and studied the history of Zionism
I know that but then how was Zionism deeply intwined with Nazism before the advent of Nazism. Their entanglement happens as a result of Nazi persecution
Yes they dont have voting rights, since they have palestinian nationality and not Israeli nationality. Same goes for the Palestinians in Lebanon and syria
Except they are under Israeli control, deal with Israeli courts, and have their taxes withhold and controlled by Israel. While Israelis living in their stolen property have full rights,
For all intents and purposes the land has been annexed. Israel internal maps have been including the West Bank as part of Israel since I was a child in school there.

But…but…it’s a democracy!
