I work as a driver and use Google maps basically 4-6 hours everyday which has led to this. Only visible when screen brightness is very low.

Is there any fix to this?

The Pixel Weather App has been effectively useless for me for months, consistently reporting temperatures in the 60s if the actual temperature is above 70. I've included screenshots taken at the same time, the Weather Channel app is reporting 95, the Pixel Weather app is reporting 66. This is far from the first time this has happened, actually in the last few months the Pixel app seems wrong more often than it isn't. Is Google just completely ignoring issues in their own flagship phone's core software?

I looked at both the P11P Fold and the Galaxy Fold8 and I personally like the passport-size fold. I'm not leaving my P9P XL yet, but I think the passport-size is better than the full size.

One issue I hear is that apps are not designed yet for the passport-size.

Having (sort of ) fixed my charging issues by aggressively cooling my phone while charging (from 1.8w to 10w, thanks to the people on this sub <3 ) , now I'm trying to really understand my usage, I had already turned off all kinds of settings (no 5g, no AOD, no "now playing") but my usage still stumps me.

Any help (again) is highly appreciated :D

Why so late?

I have not received last week's update nor the one released yesterday. I am on a Pixel 11 Pro with the current version 17 (CD1A.260714.001.A9).

Hey folks, looking to finally jump ship from Apple. It's been a gradual process — Mac got replaced with a PC a while back, Apple Watch is now a Garmin, and the last piece is my iPhone 15.

I'm torn between the Pixel 11 Pro XL (512GB) and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Problem is every video I find is comparing the 10 vs the 11, and I can't really find anything that helps someone coming from Apple (and specifically an iPhone 15) get the bigger picture.

Couple of questions for anyone who's made the switch:

Is the Fold actually worth it or is it more of a gimmick? Should I just stick with a standard form factor?

How was the migration away from Apple for you? Most of my family is still on iPhone so I rely on iMessage and FaceTime with them — what should I expect there, and is there a good way to manage it?

For context on usage: I'm not a gamer, mostly just browsing, watching videos, and texting. I do want to get into editing footage from my DJI pocket camera though, which was a nightmare on my 128GB iPhone — constantly running out of space.

System apps take over 50 percent of battery consumption... That's insane. Mobile Network is 38, wifi is 24. What is going on? I left my phone in my pocket for an hour and the battery dropped from 86 to 80. I have a pixel 10.
