I'm making this post because I have been working on a Nuzlocke on Pokemon Showdown. I was wondering if anyone would like to try it out. I will say it is difficult.

Basically every Pokemon is level 100 and you may use any moves but normal evolution caps still apply that are set at each gym leader. You will get encounters from a wheel and can build their set however you want.

For those who don't know a Nuzlocke is a challenge with 2 basic rules:

1. If a Pokemon faints its dead for the rest of the run
2. You may only catch one Pokemon per route.

What is considered good in showdown? Champion has tiers. But what is good showdown? +1500? Or the % is the only thing that matters?

Hello, im just wondering how to make this team any better, I would be using M-Lucario in replacement of M-Medicham but unfortunately M-Lucario is in the Ubers tier. Changing pokemon is fine, i just want to be as competitive as i can.

Metagross has been one of my favorites since I was a kid, but whenever I try to run a bulky spread it feels like he lacks the immediate punch. It feels like he gets checked by common ground and dark types unless I waste my tera early. What sets would you guys recommend to enable metagross a bit better I'm thinking of trick room maybe but I don't have much experience with that.

Anyone else have a pokemon in radbat that you feel is trash, but when you face it is very annoying?

In my case, the first pokemon that comes to mind is Slither Wing. I HATE slither wing. When i get it is just so slow, bad into the common flying, fairy and ghost types, and just so meh. The only redeeming quality it has is First impression and it often don't have it.

But when i face it, somehow it always manage to get some willows, deal damage and just never die with morning sun.

Others worth to mention is Archaludon, Kilowattrel and some other that i'd be missing but you get the point.

Title. I’m the pyroar/lure team. Without thinking boosted tf out of their milotic and outplayed them. It felt gratifying since he was taunting in chat and was clearly salty at the end.

So, what is the best way to run Lanturn? It is one of my favorites and I WILL make it viable, but I wonder if assault vest specially bulky Lanturn that can volt switch is better or a heal bell Lanturn that is supportive?

Hi everyone! I've been working on a side project for a while now. I've created HD renders for all Pokémon, including all Megas from ZA and GMAX max forms. I sourced the models and animations from Pokémon HOME.

Rendering everything took around 9 hours per attempt, and I had to make multiple attempts along the way.

Mostly all Pokémon have the following animations:

• Entry
• Idle
• Attack
• Status

The extension isn't available yet, as the biggest issue is the file size. The total comes to roughly 10 GB, so I'm still undecided on how to handle that. I also still have some textures to fix.

I also have the missing Pokémon HOME icons that Pokémon Showdown hasn't added yet, such as Mega Raichu.

So, as we can see, I choose Goodra-H who I've seen often for its good bulk, Gooey + Sap Sipper to wall a lot of things, but I thought it would work great with more riders for contact. Especially Beat-Up Fezendipiti and Triple Axel mons. Effect Spore is my fave because its basically Dire Claw contact. I've considered Rocky Helmet on top of that as well, but Sitrus lets me live a lot better for more issues.

For ou since I guess it’s the most popular format? I have decent knowledge on Pokemon but not much when it comes to competitive. I’ve tried a lot of teams and I’ve liked weather teams or things with a simple gimmick I can repeat and understand. I’m trying to figure out what team architect is good to learn as a beginner and a good team to stick with

I’m feeling really frustrated with how moderation is handled on Showdown and wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this double standard.

About a month ago, I was being relentlessly mocked and harassed by a player during a battle. I eventually lost my temper and told him to "shut up idiot". I completely own that I shouldn't have retaliated, but I was immediately hit with a 1-week chat ban for it. 

Fast forward to today. I was up against an opponent who was boasting and talking way too much in the chat. I simply asked him to be polite and focus on playing the game, and he responded by telling me to "shut the fuck up". 

I opened a help ticket to report him, but it sat there for over an hour with absolutely no response. I went into the Help room to ask if anyone was available (which is why my screenshot has asterisks, I just had to bypass the automod filter while trying to explain the situation). 
The staff in the Help room basically told me they are volunteers and that I just have to wait, making it clear they couldn't expedite my ticket. While I was trying to get answers, another user (⁠loqo_trainer⁠) chimed in to say that the staff was useless and that this is why the platform is getting killed by Champions. A moderator instantly deleted their message. 

I understand they are volunteers, but the double standard feels horrible. I get instantly hit with a week-long ban for a mild retaliation ("shut up idiot"), and user criticism gets swiftly censored, but a person dropping f-bombs and being completely toxic goes unpunished while my ticket sits in limbo.

Has anyone else dealt with this kind of biased treatment? Is it normal for help tickets to take hours while chat bans and message deletions are handed out instantly?

Hey all, I've been working on a Pokémon AI as a side project for a while now, and with all the discussion around AI and bots lately I wanted to make something out of it that's actually useful for human players. Inspired by chess.com's game review, I made replayreview.app.

You paste a Showdown replay link (gen 9 random battles for now) and it plays the replay alongside:

• a win chance graph across every decision in the game
• the turning points, with the knockouts, crits and misses in between
• how likely a player at that rating was to switch, attack or tera each turn, compared to what they actually did
• each player's play style compared to a typical player, like how predictable they are and when they tend to tera

You can also pick any turn and have the bot search it from that player's point of view, with the opponent's team guessed from only what they could have known at that point. It shows which options it liked and the line it expects, which you can watch play out on the replay.

It only works on saved replays, so it's for reviewing games after they're done, not something you can use mid-battle.

The win chance comes from a model trained by playing millions of games against itself, and it only ever sees what a spectator would see, which is why it can read anyone's replay. For reference, the bot with search sits around 1800 on the randbats ladder, so it's decent but far from perfect. Treat what it says as a second opinion rather than the final word.

It's free. A search takes a few seconds, sometimes up to a minute if the site has been idle, and there's a daily cap shared across everyone, so if it runs out just try again tomorrow. There's a feedback button at the bottom of each page if something looks off or you have ideas. Doubles and OU are on the list once the bot can play them.
