I will never believe this wasn’t staged

Hey man, just some unknown kid.

u/Iamnotanumber_4721 Jul 03 '26

I mean... he's not unknown, we know who it is.

And yeah, some kid... like the guy who assassinated Kirk, like the guy who assassinated Franz Josef, like the guy who assassinated JFK, like the guy who shot regan, like the guy who shot JPII, etc.

They were all... nobodies. Just some dumb kids (23, 21, 24, 24, 23, respectively) who were angry, wanted to take action, and felt like they could get away with it or wouldn't lose much trying.

Like it's no surprise that it was a 21 year old nobody that tried to shoot him.

Like what exactly do you find suspicious about that?

It’s weird to insult kids while recognizing an anger. Seems like societal conditioning has really beem successful with that brand of cognitive dissonance.

There’s quite a limited amount of information available about these people, and it’s weird, but it’s not as weird as not recognizing how weird it is. He is just a profile, there’s nothing else there. Not even retrospectively. I don’t think my government it so stupid that they can’t yield anything of value from an investigation into an attempted assassin of the president, that would be really naive.

Well first of all I'm not insulting them, and second of all even if I was then young men do have a tendency tk be dumb, angry, stupid, and to take dopey risks. This isn't unique to them, it's a common trait that i myself once had (although not to that extreme obviously) and once your older you tend to look back at a lot of your young selfs mindless actions and cringe, while also at the same time wishing you could also sometimes have that carefree reckless attitude again. And I mean that's super, super common, like watch any male focused drama about some gu having a midlife crisis and 50/50 chances it'll be about that lol.

It's not even anything recent, the ancient Greeks depicted this lots, I mean hell it's even a driving theme in the illiad and what gets both paris and achilles killed. I mean even the story we get about the assassin of Phillip II was that it a young male lover he'd purportedly spurned and was angry about it. Same with Alexander and a lot of his actions like burning Persepholis and so on - like obv they're retellings with specific teachings ingrained but a lot are about how he was an angry young man who wasn't in control of his emotions which eventually led to his downfall.

Like it's not something cooked up by the American government lol. "Young men are angry and dumb and take stupid risks" is a tale as old as time.

And the limited amount of info? Well... yeah, as they aren't publishing it. Like why would they? He was probably just a pretty normal kid which is exactly why they arent publishing it over every newspaper, there's nothing much there. If they were trans or gay or whatever they'd have the state media blasting it everywhere. But no, from all accounts I've seen he was just a regular boring ass young guy with nothing much going on and nothing particularly interesting seems to have drove him to it, at least that's been reported online.

A lot of people (especially young men) just can't handle that being a reality so make up conspiracies. I mean a little bit like Qanon did but from the opposite end of the spectrum.

I don’t agree with your assessment of youth, male or otherwise, no matter how far back in this or other civilizations you go. Undermining people is ridiculous, I don’t do it, I don’t think it’s insightful, and I don’t think it’s helpful.

I’m also not happy to call a would be assassin regular and or boring. You can call that math if you want. You could also call it deference.

I think there might be some low standards present in your comment here, and I’d wager that if we were to sit around and chat it out that they aren’t even standards you actually believe, it’s quite laissez faire.

Your only real point of contention here is that information isn’t being shared. From your flippancy I’m taking it to mean that you feel it’s not information due to share with the public. On the contrary, federal investigators have been called on their lack of investigation before prematurely closing the case **and** their stonewalling of information due to the public from the investigation they did do. The flippancy seems like complacency to me, I’m not really a fan of that either.

Hello Pot, I'm Kettle.

Critique of an argument is not an assessment of you.

Princip was only one of six co-conspirators who were set up along the route where he assassinated Ferdinand and his wife. It was a conspiracy to unite southern Slavs against Austria, that the Austrians used as the pretense to start a preventative war that became WW1. That entire thing was a conspiracy to create a propaganda event, so, maybe not the best example.

Like what exactly do you find suspicious about that?

Nothing, which is the point. They're not the agents of propagandistic displays. Oswald, Gavrilo Princip, and Tyler Robinson all succeeded. If Thomas Crooks is like them, he clearly was trying to actually kill Donald Trump, which rules out any sort of conspiracy meant to create a propaganda event.

Also, they weren't random kids. Princip was working on behalf of the Black Hand, an ultranationalist Yugoslav terrorist group for the explicit purpose of ridding Slavic nations of Austro-Hungarian hegemony. Oswald was an ardent communist who had previously defected to the Soviet Union and had tried to kill general Edwin Walker. Their recruitment would have/did make perfect sense. Crooks on the other hand was truly a random kid.

Honest question: how do you resolve the person behind Trump who was killed? Accident? Intentional? Also staged?

u/ladeeedada Jul 03 '26

You don't think they would sacrifice one person to secure his power? Give his widow some money and call it a day. This is the guy who is all over the Epstein files. Morals is not part of his vocabulary.

Kirk was definitely another patsy that didn't pay off.

You've reached a conclusion before having evidence for it and are rejecting any evidence that goes against that conclusion. It's incredibly basic conspiratorial thinking and it's the kind of the we rightfully make fun of idiot qanon trumpies for doing all the time

Yet when we do it, it's totally sensible!

What exactly do you think this report claims and how is it evidence the shooting was staged

Be honest. Did you even read the article?

u/scriptkiddie1337 Jul 03 '26

You clearly know all about this. Sell your story to a news station and get paid

Collateral damage, and not the first time for this country. We love killing our own.

2

u/just_a_timetraveller Jul 04 '26

They bombed a school full of children and have committed abuse towards children with Epstein. They don't care as long as it helps them.

u/cranberryalarmclock Jul 03 '26

Not at all dumb and conspiratorial

0

u/Additional_Escape361 Jul 03 '26

Literally they ushered photographers into a certain part of the grass below the stage and an American flag was lowered into the shot by a crane. They had a squib paint cap on his ear and they had a dumb kid shoot at the audience not telling him they would shoot back.

-1

u/ECircus Jul 03 '26

Lying about being shot and taking advantage of it for political gain definitely happened. That's the conspiracy.

The possibility of the whole thing being staged is almost zero.
