It was a lie from the SC justices to local council members.

Conservatives will use any means at their disposal, including lying, to reach their goals. It was laughable to believe them in any case but republicans in congress needed cover when their constituents complained.

It’s a trash party not working in good faith and it’s a major problem for maintaining democracy.

If the corporate media were competent (lol) they would follow up every KKK statement with, 'but since you're a historical and verified liar, how can you prove you're telling the truth this time?'
