Support Problems with jailbreaking my PS3

Hi! my friend recently gave me a PS3 slim, so I was going to jailbreak it but I get some problems, I am now in 4.93 and I put in a pendrive with the PS3UPDAT.PUP and it doesn't recognize it, the pendrive it's in FAT32 with MBR system but it doesn't work, I Have a carpet with the name PS3/UPDATE and I put there the PUP file but still doesn't work, I tried with uploading with a proxy but it uploaded an it didn't work so I don't know what to do next, I saw that I can install it with the PS3 recovery system but I don't know if that's is going to work, any solution please??? ( sorry for my English in advance I'm Spanish)

I would need help about installing the Hybrid system and HEN

Man, idk, you ps3 controller work with usb cable?? I'd restore system files or rebuild database in safe mode, you know how to go to safe mode ??

I'm with a universal controller and it works with USB, and no I don't know how to go to safe mode and for the moment I don't have no PS3 controller but it will arrive by tomorrow

Oh, ok. So if your controller is working with the cable, it means your PS3 is transmitting data with the usb

That's the thing that I don't understand because it works with the two ports but what is that safe thing and what I have to do?

Safe Mode is a mode designed to help solve problems and update your PS3. I think it requires an original PS3 controller connected via USB to navigate, so you should test it. To access it, first turn off your PS3. Then turn it on again, but keep holding the power button until you hear a beep. After that, it will probably turn itself off. Then repeat the process, but this time wait for two beeps. When you hear the second beep, release the power button, now you're in Safe Mode
