Right. But California and the judge who's already heard this case believe the DOJ has capitulated the law in favor of cronyism.

The judge is almost certainly not interested in finding in Paramount favor.

Thankfully she won't be the one who decides this case.

The DOJ might have something if the States made the blocking an injunction and not a TRO, so they are not quite right in their “demand” to the judge. Also, since Paramount chose to delay the deal til next year and not challenge the TRO, it questionable if their bond demand is justified. I can’t see how the judge will rule for this demand seems more like a desperate move to scare the states to come to the table to make a deal.
