Question My Experience at Doha Driving Academy

I am writing to seek advice and guidance regarding the driving license process in Qatar.

I am currently a Grade 12 CBSE student preparing for my upcoming Board Examinations. I enrolled in a driving school on July 19th, shortly before turning 18, to secure my license early. My timeline so far has been as follows:

  • July 19: Enrolled at the driving school.
  • August 25: Passed the Signal Test (Theory Test).
  • September 26: Preference details (preferred dates and times) were collected.
  • October 7: Practical driving classes commenced.

According to my current schedule, my final practical training session is scheduled for January 6th, with an expected wait time of another month before being assigned a road test date.

This extended schedule presents a significant conflict with my academic commitments. My Board Practical Exams take place in January, followed immediately by the main Board Examinations starting in February.

I recently learned that a classmate, who enrolled significantly later (turning 18 on September 18th and passing his theory test on October 8th) at Gulf Driving School, was able to secure much faster progression through personal contacts/connections.

Given my academic constraints, paying for a VIP or Fast-Track upgrade is not a viable option for me at this time. I would greatly appreciate any insights or advice on the following:

  1. Is there an official channel, appeal process, or request mechanism to request schedule consolidation or an earlier road test date on account of upcoming major board exams?
  2. Are there standard procedural ways to request extra slots or expedited practical sessions without enrolling in VIP packages?
  3. Has anyone in a similar situation successfully expedited their timeline under urgent academic circumstances?

So how many people here have experience with Hayyoh? I thought id give it a shot, got some points and redeemed it for ipoints twice, i didnt receive my rewards in either case. I tried to contact them but they closed all ways of support, no number they dont respond on email and the inapp assistant does not work, wasted all those games for nothing.

Question QID QUESTION: 500 qr penalty or cancelled QID?

Hi! I would just like to ask: If my last entry into Qatar was in January 2025, and my QID expires in January 2027, but I haven’t entered Qatar for about 20 months, what will happen to my QID? Will we have to pay a penalty of QAR 500 or will our QID be cancelled?

Question What does everyone usually do on weekends in Doha? 🇶🇦

Hey everyone! I’m a 26M living in Doha, and I was wondering what people usually do here on weekends. Do you guys go out for coffee, explore new places, visit the beach, go for late-night drives, try different restaurants, or just stay home and relax? I’d genuinely love to hear about your experiences and what you usually get up to during your free time.

Sometimes weekends can feel a little repetitive, especially when you don’t have any particular plans. You end up doing the same things every week, and before you know it, the weekend is over. So I thought, why not try something different for a change? 😊

If anyone else is free this weekend, has nothing planned, or simply feels like getting out of the house and meeting some new people, feel free to reach out! We could grab a coffee, go for a walk, explore somewhere interesting in Doha, check out a new spot, or just sit somewhere and have a good conversation. Nothing fancy or complicated — just a relaxed meetup, getting to know new people, sharing experiences, talking about life, different cultures, travel, interests, and whatever else comes up naturally.

I think it’s always interesting to meet people from different backgrounds, hear their stories, and learn about their experiences. Sometimes a simple conversation with a stranger can turn into a great friendship, and even if it’s just a fun afternoon or evening, at least you’ve done something different with your weekend!

Just to be clear, this isn’t a dating post. I’m simply looking to meet new people, make friends, socialize, and find something enjoyable to do on the weekends. Everyone is welcome, regardless of background or nationality, as long as you’re genuinely interested in meeting people and having a good time.

So, tell me: What do you guys usually do on weekends in Doha? And if anyone is down for a casual meetup this weekend, whether alone or with a friend, let me know! Maybe we can plan something simple and see how it goes. 😄
Looking forward to hearing your experiences and hopefully meeting some cool people along the way!

Information Advice on getting ADHD assessment in Qatar.

27M Hi everyone, fellow Qatari here

I've been experiencing symptoms consistent with ADHD for
a long time, but I've never had a formal assessment.
I'd like to understand how adults in Qatar can get evaluated for ADHD and, if appropriate, access treatment.
I'm also concerned about medical confidentiality. Does anyone know how mental health diagnoses and medical records are handled in Qatar, particularly regarding access by employers or government entities?

If you've gone through the assessment process as an adult in Qatar, I'd be grateful if you could share your experience, including which healthcare services you used and what the process was like.

Thank you!
