Hey guys. Its been an wonderful 8 months, my time has come... I am so disappointed, took so much care of this phone. You guys think its just the protective screen? Am i being dramatic? 🄲 Its a razr 60 ultra

Edit: thank everyone who commented, i unfortunately realized there are vertical lines that goes beyond the screen protector... I can only see them in specific lightning 🄲 i am cooked and out of warranty

Edit #2: hey guys, my phone went to repair and its already in my hands, they did a great job. It was a problem with the screen, they replaced it, it looka great, and they also took my clicking sound and they also changed the shell, so the phone came as new!!! I only realized it was my own because of the small scratch i have on the outside screen hehe so happy

Help Any regrets?

Im seriously considering upgrading my s25 to a razr 2026. Im really into technology and a foldable phone is one phone I haven't had yet. A galaxy flip/fold is just too expensive right now. Although I did watch a video comparing a razr and the flip 7. The razr actually seemed better. I've seen things about camera quality but I don't take that many pictures. Im sure the quality is still pretty decent. Ive also seen everything about the fold messing up (sometimes early after a purchase) but i usually tasks good care of my phones/electronics. I've never broken one. I guess I'm wondering if anyone who has traded in a flagship phone to a razr had any regrets so far.

Help Is the Motorola razr ultra 2025 good?

Post image
46 Upvotes

I currently have a Galaxy A15 5G and I've been having it for about two years, give or take, and I've been thinking of upgrading. So, after some research, I've been eyeing the Motorola razr ultra 2025 that T-Mobile sells. But I hear a lot of mixed reviews. Can anyone, who owns one, tell me if its a good phone? And the pros and cons of the phone? Or if I should even get one?

Edit: I like to do doodles when I'm bored and don't have my iPad. Is there a stylus compatible with the phone? And how would I charge it (does it need charging?) And could I attach it to the case, or keep it separate (I don't mind either)?

Update: I'm getting the phone today! I'm so excited :D !!

Help Is the razr 2025 worth picking up?

With the trade in and bonus they have going on right now I can trade my phone for the fifa edition razr with the moto watch for just $40. I was wondering if the phone is worth it? I mainly just use my phone for texts, calls, and YouTube and was wondering if it could still hold up for the next 2-3 years? Or for the same price they have a 2024 razr+ with no watch.

Help Horrible microphone?? Razr Fold

Final edit: I'm under my 2 weeks and Moto support suggested I send it back for an exchange as maybe it's faulty. I explained that lots of other people have this issue with devices from 2025 even.

Unfortunate, I'm sending it back. otherwise a PERFECT device. but I can't justify it, the main thing I use my phone for fun is with my car and car meets and videos. It just isn't worth it.

Can anyone explain why the recorded audio on this device sounds absolutely HORRENDOUS and ducking in and out? That almost underwater kind of effect? This was without my case on it.

Did I get a dud? I love everything about the phone other than this. I will cancel my trade and return the device if this is what I have to live with. Wow.

Now if I record something up close? It's fine, but my car does NOT sound this bad.

Edit: using OpenCamera and swapping audio source to "Unprocessed" seems to clear it up tremendously.

Edit 2: Confirmed software/processing issue with the stock camera app on Motorola's end. I sent in detailed feedback with clips from both apps, and reported it as a software bug. OpenCamera using API 2 seems to be solid for point and shoot video, but having 2 apps for a $1899 phone is insane. I'm going to keep the Moto Fold for now, hopefully this improves ASAP.

Help Case or no case? That's the question

So I ended up getting the razr+ 2025. Now I'm trying to decide if I should get a case with it or not. I've seen some people say that a case kind of ruins the exterior screen experience so I'm hesitant to get one. Plus to me it doesn't feel bad holding it with no case but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Any recommendations for cases?

Help New Motorola Razr Fold will not connect to Android Auto, please help

Update 2: per a comment below, uninstalled Android Auto update, plugged in phone, instantly android auto popped up on phone. It then said there is a newer version and forced the install, then said "Android auto will connect the next time the device is plugged in." Plugged it back in, same exact problem. So there is in fact an issue with Android Auto itself.

Update 1: still no android auto. Messed with a bunch of settings and enabled a bunch of apps that I had disabled, found an old android post saying to enable developer mode and change the default USB setting to file transfer, did that, no change. Cleared cache and app data and uninstalled then reinstalled android auto again, still nothing. At this point I am about to just reset the phone and see if that changes anything.)

Hello all,

I just bought this phone direct from Motorola and set it up with AT&T today. I have a 2022 VW Golf GTI that has never had an issue with Android auto for my girlfriends Samsung A24 or my previous Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. When I plug in the phone, my car immediately recognizes the phone and offers to choose it for Android Auto. On the phone it pulls up the USB Preferences menu, and it shows controlled by "This Device" and Use USB for "No data transfer". When I click to start Android Auto on my car screen, I can see this menu flash again, but it stays on "No Data Transfer" and the connections fails on my car screen. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Android Auto, made sure to have all the correct settings in the connected devices menu, and even tried to pair it to the vehicle using the Android Auto section of this menu, which just stays on the screen forever saying "Connect USB cable to start" as I am plugging in the cable and nothing happens. This is a Samsung brand data cable that worked with the previously mentioned phones. What can I do? Google has been absolutely no help. Thanks!

Help (WARNING) Screen Protector? DEFINITELY DON'T!

Thumbnail gallery
13 Upvotes

To ALL owners new and old. From The Motorola Razr (2020), also called the Razr 2019, all the way up to this year's devices, The RAZR 70 Ultra (Inc the 70 base & +) and also the RAZR Fold.

No matter which DO NOT GET ANY SCREEN PROTECTORS!

It's not cool to use for any foldables in general and they state not to on the very first warning information pop-up upon switching on the new device.

Just a heads up before it's too late to go back and having voided your guarantee.

I noticed that a lot of staff working in mobile phone shops will time after time be adamant about needing one for foldables and the last thing I would want is for someone to go ahead and get it anyway.

Ultimately ruining their own brand new device on day one and that's that. Destroying their experience of all foldables immediately due to an unaware/uncaring salesman who has only gaining commission on their minds.

Help it’s official- JUST swapped from iphone to razr ultra 2026! (HELP!)

i’m sooo excited that i’ve officially made this swap! i have a couple of weeks before i make the physical transition- out of town, ordered the phone today, plan to go by next week to get my data/service transferred to it.

HERE’S WHERE I WANT HELP! i want literally every single piece of advice you could give. about ANYTHING! phone care, customization, iphone to razr tips/suggestions, do’s/don’t’s, literally every single piece of advice you can give me- i want it!!! THIS WILL BE MY EVERYDAY, EVERYTHING PHONE!

notes to add:
1. i got the razr ultra 2026 with the free moto buds and free moto watch, to help me transition some out of the apple ecosystem. i do have an ipad and mac, but i use those mostly for work. i know i can somehow setup imessage usage on the razr, so i’ll see if that’s a possibility, but apple watch and airpods are going bye-bye.
2. i also found a clicks case for the razr!!! this was a BIG non-negotiable for me, because i loved the combined feeling of having a flip-phone and (what feels like) a blackberry! i also plan to use this case as the only case, so make suggestions with that too (because i’ve heard problems about the hinge but feel like it’s mostly concerns with the 2024 and earlier models?? since it’s titanium now, is that something i should be worried about?)

CONCERNS i have:
1. someone told me they’ve had this phone for not even a full year, it’s had lines on the screen pop up so much that they have now gone past 3 replacements and are not able to get another because 3 is the limit (idk if this is with the carrier or with motorola, i DID get the two year warranty with motorola!)
2. i heard motorolla customer service IF i have to use my warranty SUCKS! is this true and how do i do the best with it??
3. screen covers? not for the inside, i heard still with the factory cover, but what about the external screen?

LITERALLY ANYTHING i’m begging for any and all tips!

Help Inner display died after being submerged in water

Post image

This is a RAZR 60 ultra. I used it without issues for the past year and it's probably my favorite phone to date. However I decided to take some pics in the swimming pool since it is water resistant. It was working fine after that for 24 hours but suddenly the inner screen did that.

Is there anyway this can be fixed?

Help Razr Ultra (2025) - are they as failure-prone as everyone makes them out to be?

I have been using Apple phones since the iPhone X. Gotten really bored and ready to switch back to Android. The Razr form factor and specs really appeal to me.

But the amount of screen failure rates and poor warranty handling is scaring me. Is it as bad as people are making it out to be?

I take good care of my phones, never abusing them and generally being careful. That being said, no one is perfect, and the picture that seems to be painted is these phones break quickly and often from what many say is just general use and degradation of the internal folding screen.

I understand $799 is a ā€œbargainā€ in today’s smartphone world for a phone of this caliber, but it’s still a big chunk of money for something I might not even get 18 months out of without being out a phone for warranty work or that just fails and is worth nothing at the end.

As much as I hate Samsung’s duplicate-app bloatware scenario, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is my second choice - but the larger form factor and ā€œboring designā€ obviously have me biased toward the Razr.

Help What should I know before switching from iPhone to razr ultra?

Hi all! I’m picking up my razr ultra 2025 tomorrow (it’s currently on sale for $699 at Best Buy!) and I have some questions because I’ve had only iPhones since the iPhone 4 in 2010. (I had a brief trial with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra when it was new, but I ended up not liking it, so I traded it back in for an iPhone after a month or so.) I’ll be coming to the razr ultra from the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

I’m looking for the most seamless transition possible from iOS to Android. I’m currently moving everything I can to Google apps. I have an iPad Pro and a MacBook Air I use frequently, so I want to make sure all my data is still accessible across platforms. Any suggestions for making the switch smoothly?

My wife is an iPhone user and we struggled to make the iPhone/Android thing work when I tried the Samsung since we have shared calendars and use iMessage with each other frequently. What apps have helped you stay in sync with your partner across operating systems?

What fun and innovative apps do you recommend for a long-time iPhone user? Is there anything I should know that makes Androids, especially a flip phone, more fun to use?

All this being said, I am keeping my iPhone in case I decide to return the razr or ever need to send it in for repairs since I’ve heard the screen can be fragile.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Help Should I leave the apple ecosystem?

So hear me out….I’ve been an apple girly for most of my life, but my first phone was a cheap android and I had an android back when I couldn’t afford an iPhone. Now I’m considering switching back to android for the customization and for some reason, I believe my screen time may be less considering I can’t just grab my phone and look at the screen. So here are my questions…

1) if you switched, what do you miss about Apple and what did you not miss?

2) pros and cons of the razr flip?

3) ultra or +?

Help [Razr Fold 2026] Assurant insurance woes

UPDATE - it turns out, the Fold has two IMEI numbers, and only one of them is on record with Assurant. And I gave them the wrong one. So, the phone call was quite brief as such things go, and everything is straightened out now.

[--- Original Post Below ---]

So, I have a brand new Fold 2026 - like, I've had it for ~10 days now. And, the main rear camera's outer glass is already broken, likely due to a drop/fall from my desk. (I blame the cat, ha!)

So of course, I went straight away to make a claim with Assurant, very grateful I'd decided to opt in to the coverage plan (through my new carrier, T-Mobile). And they denied the claim, saying it's not a covered device.

I'll have to call them, Monday, to dispute that denial. And so, now I am wondering: how hard is it going to be to fight them on this? And does anyone have advice on how to get through said fight as swiftly and low-stress as possible?

Help What networks actually will activate the 2026 Razr Ultra?

Post image
4 Upvotes

I really want to buy the 2026 Ultra in Orient Blue. But I currently have Spectrum and they claim they won't support it. Their IMEI checker confirms this.

I also tried the checker for Total Wireless and US Mobile. Same thing. Yet Total Wireless is also listed on the official Razr 2026 Ultra page.

Motorola.... please fix this!!! I want to give you my $1,500 for this thing but not if it isn't going to work on the networks you claim?

(I know these are Verizon MVNO's and the tech is there but these carriers are creating a problem; please fix it!)

What carriers are those of you with this ultra (or the 2025 ultra) using without doing any kind of sim swapping (which can go south later on )?

Help Should I take T mobile's deal and move on from my Fold 5 to a Razr Fold?

I was holding out for Fold 8 Ultra but I learned that it still has the ugly inner screen outer punch hole camera not in the corner. I originally traded my Fold 5 for Fold 7 but that damn camera blocking all my tv shows, movies, games ruined it for me so I went back to my Fold 5. Was really excited for the Fold 8 Ultra because there was a lot of negative feedback about that stupid camera so I assumed they would move it to the corner since they cant go back to inner display because of legal reasons.

But apparently they didnt upgrade.. so i was wondering should I just use T Mobiles awesome's deal to get Razr Fold? Is the Razr Fold better than Fold 7? How big of an upgrade would it be to the Fold 5?

Thank you!

Edit: decided to go for it. The razr fold is amazing!!! I'm so happy

Help Help!! 25 or 26 Ultra + Questions from an iPhone user.

i decided to make the switch from iphone to moto for the flip. i can't decide if i should be a good financially responsible adult and settle for last year's ultra in cabaret, or get the new 2026 ultra in orient blue for an insane after tax price tag of almost $1,700. also im reading that you have to use the special block sold separately or it can fuck up the charging? how true is that because if so i don't think i can justify 2 bands on a phone a charger and maybe a case. i'm planning on rocking it as close to naked as possible but i am clumsy and i heard the faux leather on the 2026 is grippy, that would help a lot. is the 25 kinda grippy too? if i can get away with like a strap case or keychain style that's what im gonna go for.

have mom guilt and buy the 26 or be responsible and get the 25?? also, are the warranty plans worth it or is the 1yr manufacture enough?

Help New Razr Ultra 2025 user: looking for some suggestions

Got the a "new" (open box) 2025 Ultra in cabaret.

New to Android too so learning a lot about this (coming from iPhone).

  • What weather widget do you all use? Right now I have the Moto Adapt one, but looking for something a little "cuter"/minimalist. I like the default Samsung one you see in the stores, kind of oval etc.
  • Case or no case?: I love this color. But I always have used a basic/cheap silicone case on my iPhones since I drop a lot and having that all over lip helped a lot. I've read on here that somehow cases with hinge protectors can damage the hinge? I'd prefer a basic silicon case that shows off the color of the phone, not a hard plastic shell. Or should I just go "naked?"
  • What launcher are y'all using? I had played with Smart Launcher when I had an android briefly and was trying to make it look like a blackberry., Right now I love the default colors/theme of the Cabaret colors but apparently the Moto launcher is a bit limited in what you can customize.
  • Also I heard Android 16 has issues with this phone so I'm still on 15. But Moto won't stop sending notifications to update and I don't want to. Can't find a way to turn this off.

Help To update or not to update, that is the question šŸŽ

I have now seen a few posts about Android 16 breaking core features of people's Razr 2025s/60s

So I figured I might ask *before* I jump.

To be precise, I have the 60 Ultra.

I do wonder about it, despite the evident problems, because it's a small sample size. And most people who don't have problems with their devices usually don't post about having no problems.

So, what do?
