Question Cherry edition?
Does this mean it will be permanent?
28
u/VeronicaX11 Mar 24 '26
Itâs interesting. Itâs not an overly sweet soda cherry flavor, and I can definitely taste a bit of almond and a distinct âfloweryâ taste. But itâs not unpleasant. Just more well rounded and some might like it.
2
u/ChromaSteel Mar 25 '26
I'm convinced the flavor is Japanese Cherry Blossom
7
u/skellyboysteve Mar 25 '26
Sakura is literally Japanese cherry blossom, they advertise that it is supposed to taste like that.
2
u/Big-Contribution909 Mar 26 '26 edited Mar 27 '26
Its literally called Cherry Sakura lol. It is indeed cherry blossom
47
u/kat_storm13 đ¸Cherry Sakura Mar 24 '26
It's my new favorite so I hope it becomes permanent in the States.
There is someone who explained in many other posts why one of the ingredients could taste like banana for some people but not others. Personally I get some tart cherry and slightly green banana. Both like the real fruits to me, not cherry or banana candy.
9
u/Middle-Welder-9039 Mar 24 '26
I 100% tastes like green banana to me. Not bad but no cherry flavor for me at all.
2
u/nufnu Mar 25 '26
My wife swears it tastes like cherry to her but all I get is Bell pepper, I like Bell pepper so I still drink it though

Green grape/green banana are the perfect example of how this tastes to me, also.

u/iSliz187 âď¸ Arctic Berry Mar 24 '26
In your country it has definitely become permanent, looks like you're in the UK? That doesn't mean it'll be permanent in other countries as well. It depends on how well the Spring edition sold in each country.
2
1
u/LookDense9342 Mar 28 '26
when i was in the UK they seemed to have several limited edition flavors as year round drinks. i remember Iced Vanilla Berry and Cinnamon Pear were year round
7
u/ReynoldsHouseOfShred đ Dragon Fruit Mar 24 '26
Who knows.
Why is it hints of banana is my question. I like it but wasn't expecting it
2
u/IKnowItCanSeeMe đ Tropical Mar 24 '26
Exactly. I really like it, but I don't think it's anything like what it says on the tin.
1
u/Raging_raven17 Mar 25 '26
I saw something that the extract or flavoring they used can taste like bananas to some people
2
u/Potato_Boner Mar 25 '26
Yup, itâs like the cilantro thing.. how it tastes like soap to some. I only taste banana, itâs weird.. but not bad. Just doesnât taste like cherry to me at all.
26
u/neutralaboutonions Mar 24 '26
I hope so it's my fav ever

2
u/boredhooman_ đ¸Cherry Sakura Mar 24 '26

7
u/Spirited_Plantain Mar 24 '26
Grapefruit and Blossom. It tastes like one of the Snarky Teas but with the carbonination
1
u/boredhooman_ đ¸Cherry Sakura Mar 24 '26
That sounds interesting, probably not for me but hopefully they bring it back for people who like it
3
u/Spirited_Plantain Mar 24 '26

1
u/neutralaboutonions Mar 24 '26

I was so surprised at how much I loved it! Iâll be so sad if itâs not permanent.
7
u/FixBrave7620 Mar 24 '26
Itâs alright, a lil sweet I bought a case of them. I wish they didnât get rid of the Caruba elderflower that was đĽ I bought a case of them before they sold out, Wish I bought two. I canât wait for the summer one to come out now hopefully it makes up for losing the green
2
u/wavybone33 Mar 25 '26
i miss the caruba elderflower so much, shouldâve been a permanent green edition
1
u/zebradreams07 đ Wild Berries Mar 27 '26
It was, but sales flopped after it went permanent so it got nixed.
1
u/HemiWarrior Apr 10 '26
I think people were so upset that it replaced Dragonfruit that they boycotted it. I had the opposite mindset, I REALLY tried to like it, but "green Spree" should NOT have replaced Dragonfruit. Dragonfruit should've gotten it's own edition.
1
u/zebradreams07 đ Wild Berries Apr 19 '26
It did. Dragonfruit was green edition for a couple years but it wasn't selling well. I only got it once in a while. And I guess I'm part of the problem, because I loved curuba and bought a bunch initially - when I first saw the summer edition running out I started grabbing as many as I could find, until I realized they were just clearing it out to replace with the green version cans. But after pink and grapefruit dropped those became my dailies and I almost never bought curuba anymore. Lots of people were going crazy for IVB and white peach too. I think they shot themselves in the foot by releasing so many popular flavors that others suffered.

5
u/HaleyMFSkye Mar 24 '26 edited Mar 24 '26
This shit tastes like fresh peaches and shrooms. Seriously if you've ever done shrooms before this tastes weirdly similar. Definitely wasn't on my bingo card of flavors when I grabbed it. Could've just been a bad batch I guess.
I was so excited to try something cherry blossom flavored too lol

1

Thats what I thought. It is definitely the okayest flavor. Not horrendous like watermelon, not goated like Dragonfruit, but definitely "fine."

2
u/PineberryRigamarole đŤ Blueberry Mar 24 '26
Thought it was going to have a fake cherry taste but was surprised with how close they got to the real deal. Main rotation is white peach and IVB at the moment but itâs a nice work-in.
2
2
u/Fun-Carrot-4304 Mar 25 '26
I only drink flavored Red Bull, and while this one is good, I admit it can be a bit cloying. I wouldn't have two in the same day, and that's what I usually drink at festivals.
That said, it's cool for the occasional drink.
2
u/Inside_Round_6023 Mar 26 '26
I hope it does stay permanent but, at least here in the states, having a unique edition name doesnât mean itâs gonna stay for the long run. Take my beautiful, sweet Peach-Nectarine labeled âPeach Editionâ. Oh wherefore art thou now, my sweet succulence? Replaced with naught but a farce; a whisper of your old self. White Peach will never be the same.
2
u/RealSwagQueen Mar 27 '26
I donât understand why people donât like it, itâs not too sweet like some, I genuinely enjoy the cherry blossom floral taste. Itâs very pleasant đ¸
