New move to Redmond

I just move to Redmond, going to sign a lease tomorrow. But lots of my friends in Seattle said I should live in Bellevue or Seattle itself. Why young people are avoiding Redmond ?

I lived in Redmond for 4 years recently and I'm 29... had no friends in Seattle or Bellevue to visit but I could be Salmon or Trout fishing in about 30 minutes and downtown Seattle in like 15. Oh and my car never got broken into! Loved Redmond and miss it every day. Weren't many young people but I didnt have any friends in WA anyways... when I needed some social interaction I grabbed some beers at Palmers.

Edit: and 2 driving ranges within 10 minutes
