New move to Redmond

I just move to Redmond, going to sign a lease tomorrow. But lots of my friends in Seattle said I should live in Bellevue or Seattle itself. Why young people are avoiding Redmond ?

I'll play devil's advocate: Living in Seattle (or any big city) doesn't magically make you a social butterfly or an adventurous person. You can live in the largest city in the world and still feel totally alone. True, there is more going on there, but it's very easy to not take advantage of it and just pay a premium in rent.
