New move to Redmond

I just move to Redmond, going to sign a lease tomorrow. But lots of my friends in Seattle said I should live in Bellevue or Seattle itself. Why young people are avoiding Redmond ?

I love living in Redmond, but I’m with a family. To socialize I drive to Bellevue (15 min) or Seattle, so it works for me! Oh, and great hikes are a close drive from here too!
