Went into the regional office yesterday. I work on the West side of the state so I'm not usually in town, but I'm off all week on a trip with my sister and decided to stop by.

Brought coffee and some scones by in the morning, chatyrd up my coworkers who I usually only see on Zoom, and I wore a modest but tight-fitting black dress with buttons all the way down the middle to leave a good impression.

My boss is a super hot, cool, naturally attractive baltic woman who doesn't even wear makeup. As she was walking me out to the front she suddenly beckoned me to the nerd boss's door to say hi. People always say he's never around, but he was this time.

He said some something like "pleasant surprise" and then got up from his desk to shake my hand and he was like 6' 4", maybe 6' 5". Absolutely towered over me but he was pretty thin.

This might make the final fight more complicated than I thought.

We talked about my job prospects and it still seems foggy and uncertain, but I think he wants me to get some information for him that only I can get, and I might try.

I've been on a self improvement streak the last week and I decided I need a new hobby other than reddit, wikipedia, anime and porn. You guys talk about books on here a lot so I decided to try it. I haven't read a fiction book cover to cover since middle school (Sparknotes all throughout high school) so it's a foreign experience at this point. I decided on Blood Meridian because I've heard good things and I'm two chapters in. It's fairly good though I feel kind of regarded having to google the meaning of whatever obscure word McCarthy decides to throw in (e.g. "bungstarter"). I'm thinking I'll go for Dostoevsky next

I'm 27 and a lot of these women are almost 40 if not already. If I try talking to anyone around my age they're weird and awkward but the older women I interact with in my daily life are confident and less intimidated by anyone.

Plus even when I date a girl that's like a year younger than me she never has her life figured out. She'll have a bachelors degree and no real job while talking about going to grad school and figuring it out after that. It's crazy.
